Roomie's Birthday...

Image
We celebrated Kristin's Birthday on Saturday night at our house with the friends. Then since all three of us had time off, we decided to go to Vegas and play as well. I went down on Sunday and visited my awesome cousins! I had a blast just hanging out and doing a little shopping-- love you guys! Then my roomies came down on Monday and we went to Cheesecake factory, we rode 2 roller coasters, and just enjoyed each others craziness! I love having awesome roommates and friends. Here are a few pics of our lovely adventure:

Christmas 2009

ImageI just LOVE Christmas Time! This month has flown by fast, but I love the spirit of Christmas the fact that we get to remember the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ. We had a great Christmas with the family this year. Here are a few pictures to enjoy! We made sugar cookies one night with the grand-kids!

Come What May...

ImageAnd Love it... That was a phrase they had on the cute wall Ashley and her sisters made in rememberance of Robert's Life. Robert passed away on December 13, 2009 from leukemia. He was married to my cousin Ashley. These two were great examples of FAITH and LOVE. They truly loved each other and everyone around them. I am so grateful that they are family and can show me how to be more like Christ. We attended Roberts Funeral on December 19, 2009. It was an amazingly spiritual day. Everyone who spoke reminded us of Roberts great loves, and one of those is his Savior. I am so grateful for the knowledge of eternal families. I know he is with our Heavenly Father now and Ashley will get to be with him again because of the priesthood sealing power of the temple. Families Can Be Together Forever. We love you Robert and Ashley! :) If you want know more about Roberts and Ashleys Adventure check out their blog: http://adventuresofrobdobandashpants.blogspot.com/

Group Date

The girls decided to do a fun group date night this last Friday night. We had a way fun dinner idea! (fun and easy!) Each couple has an envelope with the part of the meal they need to buy and make for the whole group! We had four dollars for a side dish! It is always interesting to see what everyone picks out. The main dish was french toast, the side dishes were pasta salad, stuffing, and rolls. The appetizer was pizza bites. The drinks were sprite with limes in it. It was a very interesting but fun dinner. We then made ice cream sculptures-- one of my favorite things!
We drew out slips of paper which told us what we then needed to buys things for and sculpt. We got a giraffe! Another couple sculpted dentures and we got a Christmas Tree from another couple! It was highly entertaining.

Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! It is such a great time of year! I love the fall leaves and the chilly air. It is so fun to think of all the wonderful blessings to be thankful for! I got to have a wonderful weekend with my family. It was so fun to have everyone in town. Mom set up our beautiful table! She even did cute name tag place settings for everyone. On thanksgiving day we played a fun kickball game and some of Kaulin's family and Lexie's family joined too. Mom and all the girls pitched in to make an awesome meal! I tried a new fruit salad recipe from my friend, and it was awesome! :) We had so much food (I think we over planned on the food part--- but isn't that partly the point of Thanksgiving). Late that night, yes that night at 10pm the girls decided to do a little shopping at the outlet malls. We hit up a few stores, but the lines were crazy. I didn't get up early the next morning, but some of the sisters did. Then we went to Santas Workshop and did some shopping there. It was fun to have some Mom and Sister time! Also this weekend I got to see some of my good friends who live in SLC now. Deon came and visited and I got to see Julie on Saturday-- you girls are the best! I'm thankful for such amazing friends in my life! The random picture of me by a store window, was from an adventure with my friend Ashley. We were wandering down main street and I was entertained by this window of an antique store. We had a random fun adventure on friday night. I also found a bookcase on saturday randomly at a garage sale when I was on my way to meet Julie. It is a sweet bookcase and I only paid $13! Sweet!

November...

ImageWell, I haven't really taken many pictures this month, and I can't believe Thanksgiving is next week! Time flies! It has been great month full of fun and business! The first weekend of the month I went with Shanna and Shelly to "Time out for Women" put on by Deseret Book. It was an awesome weekend full of friends and spiritually motivating experiences. I had never attended anything like it before, and it was fun. We really liked Hillary Weeks performances. I got her new Christmas CD to enjoy. The next weekend I had to take a 2 hour test (again-against my will) to prove that I am "highly qualified". It is to put my Administration Certificate on my Teaching license. So I will find out in a few weeks if I passed or not. I took the test last year, but there was no cut off score. I didn't really study when I took it last time and I was 10 points below the cut off (620) and I got a 610-- so I had to pay $130 dollars to take it again and I hopefully passed this time (I did study). But after the test was over I got to spend the rest of that Saturday at my Sister Alisha's awesome digital scrapbooking class. I am learning more about photoshop! I just need to play with it more often! I'm so excited for the upcoming holidays! I have been working on a few Christmas Projects and I love it! I haven't done big projects for a couple years! I even busted out some homemade cards the other day! If anyone is interested in homemade christmas cards or other cards let me know!
