Crazy day in Sunny California!!??

So this morning, we got up just like any other morning, and this is what we saw when we looked out the window?! Crazy day in Sunny California for sure!
The snow didn't stop all day, in fact, as I sit here writing this, it is STILL SNOWING!! It's about 10 minutes to six pm, and they say it's not going to stop until maybe midnight!? Yikes! We already have (we measured) a foot of snow on the ground as you will see, and if it keeps up like this, by morning we'll be under 2 feet of snow! We were already snowed in today, at least from going down the hill, the I-15 freeway has been closed for over 9 hours now, and so many other roads. It's kind of a mess. Travis had to take off work today, because he couldn't get his car out of our driveway! Crazy day!! Enjoy the photos, we probably won't see this kind of thing for at least another 15 years or more!

Neil making his awesome caribbean turkey!
I finally found time to update, so here goes.
We had a really nice thanksgiving, even though for us, it was pretty small. Amanda and Brad and their family went to Brad's Grandma's place for their turkey day, and Karli and her new husband Juarez had their turkey time with his folks, so needless to say we had a very small crowd this year. It was however, very nice. We had Travis, Brittany and Alex, the missionaries, Neil and I, and Mom and Dad. Just the nine of us...but boy did we eat like there were 25 of us!! It was great, we made two turkeys, one caribbean style, and one country style (they were pretty yummy) and a nice glazed ham, then all the regular thanksgiving day food. I also made home made noodles, which I haven't done in years, so that was a nice surprise for my father-in-law, even though the poor guy was really sick that day. Anyway, it was really nice, and nothing really significant to report other than just a wonderful day. The next day all the kids were back, and we did it all over again!! It was awesome! We also put up Christmas, which we do every year on the day after. I also usually go to the black friday sales, but this year no one was here to go with me, so I didn't. It's okay, I didn't really see anything that was knockin' my socks off anyway. It took us three day to get all the lights up on the house outside...poor hubby...he's a good egg. It looks really great now, and we have a great little music and lights show too. The kids love it! We were outside last night, and the kids were all bundled up cute, and they were just dancing around, and oooh-ing and awww-ing over the light show. Too cute! Here are some pics of our holiday weekend. I hope everyone else had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and that you all have a very Merry Christmas!

Okay, after a long week of everyone being sick, and dealing with very cranky children, it was time for some fun. Papa broke out the funny hats, and voila....superfun!! The kids were so adorable in them, and had such a blast. I just had to share. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

So my youngest grandson just turned 1! I can't believe it, time sure does fly!

So we had his little birthday bash here at our house, and I made him his very special 1st birthday cake. It looked like a dodgers ball cap, sitting on home plate with a bat and ball. Yes...the baseball cap is cake, everything you see is edible. Anyway, it was too much fun, he was so cute, and he totally went to town on the cake as you can tell by the aftermath! Grandchildren are awesome! Happy birthday Eizyn, Nanna and Papa love you!!!

I'm starting a blog!

Amanda showed me how to do this (and in fact is the one doing it right now. while i sit here and watch) Yay ME! lol
