Transform

I’m just going to share a video that really spoke to me as a photographer. I watched this clip by world-renown photographer Zack Arias earlier in the year and even after nearly a year, every time I watch this it just motivates me to go the distance. It’s been such an inspiration to me and for those of you who have not watched it, please do. Really inspirational stuff.

Remember, your camera doesn’t have a Richard Avedon button on it.

oh and, Happy Halloween! 🙂

Finally blue skies in Aberdeen. The weather these few days has been mad. It was pouring yesterday and today the sky looks like this.

It is official. I have not seen the sun for a week now. And today was the first morning this week that it stopped raining in Aberdeen. Seeing that, I quickly got out to do some work before it started raining again. It was a really cloudy morning so I had to shoot at reasonably high ISOs (mostly at 800 – 1600) this morning to get them right. Well, here are some which I like.

Sue and Sam are a really cute and adorable couple. It was such a joy to do a photoshoot for them. Both are very close friends of mine and I wish them all the best. 🙂

Last weekend, I went down to Edinburgh to do a photoshoot for a couple who are very close friends of mine. They are a lovely couple and I really enjoyed it there. Edinburgh is a really beautiful place and I never tire of it. Everytime I travel down there I always find somewhere new to go to. This time I was there I went to Calton Hill and the view up there is just stunning. Here are a few shots I took.

I think I’m addicted to HDR. I got a Thursday morning off so I decided to get my lazy bum out of the house to shoot some photos. I walked less than 50 yards, shot the Northern Hotel and walked home. I’m so lazy 😉

“The Aberdeen Northern Hotel is full of history. It was built in 1939 in Art Deco style and is an A listed building. From the outside it has all the original features and inside the ballroom boasts the only violin shaped hall and one of the largest dance floors in Aberdeen. The Northern Hotel is a good quality 3* hotel, with a Scottish Tourist Board 3* grading.” – Scottish Tourist Board

England Swings!

_DSC0526

~England swings like a pendulum do,
Bobbies on bicycles, two by two,
Westminster Abbey the tower of Big Ben,
The rosy red cheeks of the little children. ~
– Roger Miller –

I just love this song! This song usually plays in my head everytime I think about London.
