This morning, Kyra said that she was going to help David get dressed for Sunday School. This happened at about 7 am. In just a minute, out they came dressed and ready! Boots, jeans, hats, gloves, and stick horse! Of course Blue dog and a cup of milk were part of the crew as well! Aren't they great? Needless to say, Mom wanted them to change before Sunday School, but they did have a good time for a few hours riding stick horses!

This week, I am thankful for my relationship with Jesus Christ through His shed blood on the cross and His resurrection from the dead. I am thankful for all of my family and especially for my wife, Wendy and my kids, Kyra, David and Baby Girl still in the oven. I am thankful for our church family and our community that loves us and takes great care of us.

What is Love?

I’d like to take this opportunity to tell you a little about what love looks like in the flesh. You know as a married couple, we often have that thought in the back of our mind…if some day I were to become unable to care for myself, would my spouse really do all the yucky stuff that would have to be done. Well God has confirmed that I have a man who takes God’s word and his marriage vows seriously. Over the last month, Rody has truly loved his bride as Christ loves the church. Remember the picture of Jesus washing the disciples feet…let me give you a picture of what that looks like on a daily basis. It is a dad who wipes dirty bottoms, doctors hurt toes on a screaming 5 year old, gets endless cups of milk and juice a day, fixes breakfast, lunch and dinner (or warms up what SO many gracious friends and family have supplied), cleans the kitchen 3 or more times a day, scrubs bathrooms, floors and everything else we mess up, has learned to do laundry (and is better at folding and putting it up than I am), baths and puts kids to bed and then cleans up the whirlwind of toys left in their bath. All this without grumbling or complaining…WHAT A MAN!!! Kyra, David, this new baby and I are truly blessed!!!

Hangin' Out

Chin ups! Kyra and David like to work out with me. They are great cheerleaders for each other and love to do chin ups. (Well, they love to hang and sometimes they can do A chin up!)

Hey Dad, Come Here!

Image I heard, "Hey, Dad, come here!" So I went into Kyra's room and I didn't see anyone. Then I heard laughing and Kyra said, "In the closet!" So I looked in the closet and they had made a bed in the toy basket! They were laughing and having a great time together and I just doubled over laughing.

Kids are such a blessing. It is so nice when they are playing together. They don't always do that. Sometimes they are fussing with each other. But finding the nest in the closet was a blessing!

We love you all!
