Okay as I'm back to blogging...I'm ready for a new look but it has been so long since I have messed with the blog it will be like starting from scratch. So hopefully I can do this without losing everything on here. :-) Wouldn't that be my luck.
Then I got to thinking...with the short snippits of Facebook/Twitter & Texting does anyone sit down and read a blog anymore? Then I reminded myself the main purpose of my blog is as a scrapbook/journal for our family & friends. So I will keep pecking away and posting pics...
Rody, Wendy, Kyra, David, Katie and Josie invite you to share our journey in following Jesus.

Which Way Are You Walking?
Josie got a walker for Christmas and I absolutely love watching her explore the world around her. She now has a sense of freedom. It took her about 2 days to figure out how to go forward after running backward into my tree several times. I told the kids today..we are now going to have to get a new trash can as we leave ours at the end of the bar and of course it is her favorite thing to dig in.
But one thing I noticed, she follows me. It made me think..I am so glad she is wanting to follow and come toward me. I know all too soon she will be chasing after the bigger 3 and wanting to be a part of everything they are doing. But it made me think...that is what God wants. He wants us to follow Him...to desire to be with Him....just as parents we want that. He doesn't want us chasing after other things. He wants our company, our love and our adoration.
So today...get quiet and follow Jesus around for a while.

Josie Girl
Okay I have given up this idea of perfectionism and wanting my blog in chronological order b/c I'm afraid as a result I have not blogged on some fun "Josie-isms". I cannot tell you how much I love this kid...I love all my kids. Even though she still wakes up 3-4 times a night, I love mornings with her when she is all grins and giggles.
One of her funny things she does is growl...it is so funny. She does it when she is trying to communicate with you. So our #4 is a bear, or perhaps a tiger. :-) She is an on-the-go, full of life little one for sure.
There are several times the realization that we are now a family of 6 hits me....like when we go to a restaurant and it takes twice as long to be seated. But this morning...when I put 6 biscuits on the pan to cook. 6! Wow...our little one has a BIG appetite and after several mornings of her eating everyone else's biscuit decided it was time to give her one for herself.
She also pulled up yesterday while we were digging out of the kids rooms. I think we are going to skip crawling and start with running....Oh Lord, I just want her to stay little I know how quickly they grow up and I just want her to stay little so I can carry her, hold her and just be with her continually.

Update
Okay this is just sad...I have not updated in so long that 1) I do not have holiday backgrounds up 2) I had to scroll down to see what my last post was.
Finally, it has cooled off and beginning to feel like Christmas. The kids are enjoying their time on the ranch. David told me last night after it got dark.. "Why can't it just stay light so I can stay outside and do boy things and not have to be in the house". He likes being able to just walk outside and shoot his new BB gun... or do "boy" things at the ranch in the dirt. They all do. Ms. Josie has now learned to push her walker backward. Ugh...she is going to be walking too soon. I wish I could freeze this stage. She is so fun. She is always checking everything out around her and loves to be toted around on the hip of one of her siblings. Outdoors are also her favorite.
Now to go change the background on this blog..

Updates
Well the first batch of Christmas cards have been dropped in the mail..on our photo this year, we put our blogs. I'm hoping that by doing this will help add a little pressure to keep our blog updated...well that and this is my children's baby book since I don't scrapbook. :-)
On that note...we celebrate our Christmas as a family the Saturday before we head to visit grandparents. So on Saturday Josie got a walker and today as she was upset and not wanting to be in it while mom tried to do "one more thing" she was getting stiff and scooting herself backward. Where is my baby?
She rolls, sits, eats anything that will not eat her -- but loves bread, the Gerber puff things and anything out of a sippy cup or straw. She has said Dada, Nana and Momma. She is getting so big and we are having a ball with her.
My work is changing so I look forward to updating Oct-current with pictures and "goings on" in the Chesser home.
