Hit Counter Error??

209644!! What the fuck??!!

That was my reaction after I saw the 6 figure that my hit counter had to displayed on my blog. Did the hit counter just had an error?? I am not too sure about that so I am just gonna take it that what it displayed is true which baffles me because that figure is unattainable in under 2 years give and take. As far as I know, the hit counter application works by counting how many times a blog or website has been viewed or loaded. So what went wrong??
