Sarah's First Haircut

Sarah got her hair cut for the first time today!  It was so long that it almost came down below her mouth, and it definitely covered her eyes, so it was time for a trim.  We went to Brie, the girl who cuts my hair, and she cut bangs for her and trimmed the back.  Sarah sat on my lap and didn't fuss at all.  She watched the dogs playing on the lawn at the vet's office across the street :)  She would let me put her down for a photo, so we had to settle for a selfie.  She also refused to smile for it.  Her haircut makes her look like a little girl instead of a baby :( 

Jacksonville Family Photos

We had family photos taken by my friend Leah at Alpine Groves park tonight.  We have so many great memories from Alpine Groves - feeding the flying fish, walking from the playground to the lake, riding on the "rolly slide," visiting it with relatives, and taking family photos there in April 2012.  Leah got some great shots, and we love how they turned out!  We're so glad we were able to fit this session in prior to our move to WA!

Circus Afternoon!

Today we took the boys to see the final season of the Ringling Brothers circus downtown at the Veteran's Memorial Arena.  They loved the performance, and we had great seats!  They especially loved watching the high-wire act, the tiger tamer, and the lady getting shot out of the cannon.  We are so glad we were able to experience the magic of the circus one final time!

Connor's Pinewood Derby

Connor participated in his second Cub Scout Pinewood Derby today.  His car was black and contained a total of about 63 cents, superglued in strategic positions to add weigh and improve speed :)  He and Chris enjoyed building the car and prepping it for the race.  His car won all three heats for his Wolf Den.  He also won the prize for best design in his den.  Another successful and fun Pinewood Derby is in the books!
