Jan/Feb/March {Captured Moments}
Owen participated with a local basketball league called The Urban Stars for the 2nd time.
Eli watched from the sidelines, but Owen dressed him up for 'practice' at home in last years jersey once in a while.
Owen really improved his ball handling since last year!
Eli has become quite the pb & j sandwich artist - {this is his lunch of choice nearly every day - though the name varies...sometimes it's a peanut butter, jelly, superman sandwich, others it may be batman, iron man, or hulk, etc.}
Morning Valentines Donuts from the local bakery has become tradition:
Daddy has been teaching a night class each and every Tuesday this winter. That meant that Valentines day dinner was just mommy & the boys. We celebrated with a mostly red meal followed by a heart shaped cookie, a reading of the meaning of love and a dance party to 'Better Together' & 'Sweet Pea'.
Eli had his ear tubes removed...here he is keeping busy while waiting for the procedure to begin (we had to be there bright and early at 7 in the morning on an empty stomach)
He got to decorate his anesthesia mask with stickers...
Mid weather March THIS year was quite a bit different than LAST year! :)
Eli asked me to take this picture...
We ended March with a special over-night visit from some long distance friends.
Owen and Aden had a blast 'camping out' late into the evening in Owens room. They eventually had to be separated because they were still gabbing away well after 10pm. Of course, they were up bright and early by 6:30 am the following morning! :)

Winter Fun
It's so convenient that the David and Owen can simply jump on the light rail to take in a Wolves game!
Owen is becoming a real sports fan!
There have been MANY epic Star Wars battles -
And lots of Lego building/playing.
The boys are pretty certain that a Star Wars themed birthday party is in their future... ;)

Christmas 2011
I didn't get a ton of good quality photos this year.
The boys were moving around a LOT and it was still dark outside so it didn't make for good photography conditions. However, I still want to document at least a little of our festivities...
Papa & Nana Kalvik joined us at home in Minneapolis.
The highlight for both boys was definitely Star Wars light Sabers in their stockings!
All that Eli asked for from Santa was a cookie...
So, a COOKIE he got! :)
Owen learned the 'truth' about Santa last year, but still played along for Eli.
His big request this year was a football.
He was also pretty pleased with the Star Wars Lego set from Papa and Nana Kalvik:
And a Twins Jersey from Mom & Dad...
This is what most of the photos of Eli turned out like:
He did stand still long enough to show his Christmas pirate p.j.'s (that were opened on Christmas Eve before the Candle Light Service at church).
And, here's Owen in his Christmas 'Outer Space' P.J. bottoms and Twins jersey!
The boys have enjoyed lots of playtime with the wonderful and thoughtful gifts from Papa Larry and Nana Donna in Arizona. Thank you!! :)
I tried to upload a video of them opening these gifts as well, but it wasn't working for some reason...I'll try again, soon.
After gifts were opened we had a Christmas brunch. Then, the boys cozied up with Papa Rich to watch their Christmas 'brother' gift from the Kalviks, "Kung Fu Panda 2"
Later that evening we had a fun filled evening out bowling!
It was quite the 'retro' type of place that you had to keep score with old school paper and pencil. David especially loved the scene! There was a restaurant & bar attached as well so we had our dinner delivered right to the lane!

Papa Rich may or may not have caught up on a few zzz's... ;)
