First Day of Preschool!

We were ALL excited for Owen to start school at Wee Care.

It's in the same building as the Mothers Day Out program that he's been attending for the last two years so the transition was easy peasy for him. We got to meet his teacher before school started during a home visit. Owen knew she'd be a GREAT teacher when she agreed to play super heroes with him for a few minutes after our meeting!

Our Weekend Away

David and I had the luxury of a relaxing weekend away at a Bed and Breakfast in nearby Eureka Springs over Labor Day weekend! We were too busy relaxing to take many photo's but, lucky for you, the B&B that we spent 2 nights at has a website full of great photos! Click on the link below:We literally spent most of our time just 'hanging out' wandering around the quaint (yet busy) town browsing the many shops and antique stores, reading magazines cover to cover, and staying up late watching movies. We had wonderful breakfasts that kept us quite full until dinner time and mostly enjoyed just doing things at our own pace and marveled at being able to have un-interrupted conversations and blissful quiet!

One local attraction we did visit was Thorncrown Chapel

Thanks Nana Lu and Papa Rich for watching the boybarians at our house while we were away. It was a much needed retreat!

*Weekend Get-a-way for David and Heidi to Eureka Springs!

*Also looking forward to a visit from Grandma and Grandpa Leonard this month!!

*David travels to visit a good friend in Minneapolis - hoping to catch some Minn. Twins action

October:

* Heidi takes a solo long weekend trip to re-unite with some great gal-pals and enjoy Denver in the fall!

*Possibly one of the BIGGEST months of this young families life ~
David has set the date of November 6th to defend his dissertation!
