>A boy and his dog.

Chunk and Lulu have become great friends as he is becoming more and more active. Chunk and Lulu love to run/crawl around the house and his new favorite activity is feeding her. It doesn’t matter if it is his crackers or Lulu’s treats, he loves to have her eat out of his hand! Thankfully, she is most gentle with him and eats right out of his little palm. The other day I caught them sitting together in the living room, chunk’s bowl of crackers between his legs and he would eat one cracker and feed one to Lu, each another and fed her the next one. It was super cute and I have yet to catch that on video! But, in the mean time, here is a video of them playing together. Lulu is such a good sport and will take a lot from our active little man, although most of the time, she can still out run him, for now!

Have I mentioned that we have the best dog EVER. Lulu is a pure breed pug, who is very spoiled and definitely our first born. Because of this, we were worried about her interaction with the baby and how her feelings would be hurt with so much attention going to the new member of the family. We even enrolled in a class at the hospital called, “Dogs & Storks” to help ease the transition but unfortunately the class was scheduled for December 17, and we were in the hospital with a day old baby.
The moment we arrived home with munchkin, Lulu became a very serious dog and inspected each inch of him. She started standing guard over him, ensuring he was okay and has to be in the same room that he is in. If she is asleep and we go to his room to change him, she will soon follow and sit on the rug until we are done. If we place him in his bassinet, she will go to her bed next to him and lay watch. Last night we loaded munchkin up in his car seat, ready for an outing and placed him on the floor. I ran upstairs to get him a change of clothes and Lulu ran down and sat beside the car seat until we were ready to go. She is an amazing dog and I think this is the beginning of a beautiful relationship between our girl and our son. I can’t wait until he is more alert and can start interacting with his dog!
