Fantasy General Conference 2016

This has been such a blessing to get my teenage boys involved in watching General Conference!
We get competitve - we have little prizes - we don't want to take away from the WHY of why we watch conference, but this sure makes time fly!! Our following grows a little every year. Friends, Family, Institutes and ward young men and young woman have started playing with us!
SO give it a try! Click the link below!!

We hope you enjoy it!
I know that if you will watch General Conference with an open heart and willing hands, you will receive answers to questions you may have or peace for trials and troubles you have. I love and sustain our Prophet, Thomas S. Monson, his presidency and the Quorum of the 12 Apostles.
Listen and be changed!!

Before I Forget . . .AGAIN

Man - who seriously has time to blog anymore? I REALLY admire those that blog faithfully, with pictures & funny anecdotes... bcuz seriously - you won't find those here!

So what better place to remember my boy's childhood with sporadic memories than on the internet, right? LOL!!!

Ane Anecdote #1 - Kelly asked me to call his phone so he could find it. I thought he said the "home phone" so I called it and Kelly said, "not the home phone, MY phone." I said, "Oh I thought you said home phone." Colby thought this was hilarious & says, "At least you're pretty, Mom."

Ane Anecdote #2 - Remy was reading us "Are You My Mother?" by P.D. Eastman. OH MY GOSH!!! Cutest thing ever!!!.  He would make all the animal noises and would say "Mudder" for "Mother." He makes my heart melt. He even spelled "SNORT" for us. . .seriously? The kid can spell but he can't go potty?! What is up with that?? LOL!

LAST WEEK OF SCHOOL!!! (FINALLY!!) Brady has been "checked out" for the last month. He's so ready to end Elementary school.  Colby doesn't want it to end LOL! He's finally made some very good friends but sadly, they will all be staying at our old school now that they changed all our boundaries. I'm sure he'll make good friends at his new school :)
Remy will start preschool in the Fall. That is crazy hard to believe! Man, time sure flies when you've got 3 boys! :)

Not much new here.  We just went Manti for our Ward Campout & saw the Mormon Miracle Pageant. It was AWESOME!! My boys really enjoyed it and to me, that was worth all the work! It was really fun! :)

Now - let the SUMMER BEGIN!!! :) WOOT WOOT!!!

Remy's got a girlfriend

Remy was flirting with a cute neighbor girl behind our fence. I asked, "Remy, don't you want to blow bubbles anymore?"

He said, "MOM - Just go wash your hair."

So I don't forget these Remy - isms

Image
#1 - "I want some Angry Bird Eggs!" (meaning Cadbury chocolate mini eggs)

#2 - "I'm a Ninja at Zombie Tag. I shoot like dish. . . *pew pew* den they fall down."

#3 - "Mom, did u make a poops? cuz it stinks 'round here."

#4 ***THE BEST ONE SO FAR***
Chunk had just gotten back into town and was sleeping in bed with me. Around 4am - we hear this voice ADAMANTLY declaring, 'HEY DAD! That's my spot! Get out of dere. What's Daddy doing in my spot?" ROFL!!!!

We love our Remykins!

This one's for WHITNEY :)

Yes. I am Lame.
Yes. I haven't blogged a year... Yes. it's a New Year's Resolution.. wait, what's the date? the 23rd? GO TEAM ANE!! LOL!!

Anyways, This is a more appropriate avenue to brag about my family than facebook - therefore - I will :)

Brady turned 12 on this past thursday - so yesterday he received the Aaronic Priesthood! I am bursting with pride and love for my "baby boy"! (Trust me friends, it goes a LOT faster than you think!!) One thing that impressed me during his blessing was that Brady was told that he would be a "defender of the church". 3 times he was told that. I think that is awesome and amazing! It just shows these spirits will truly held in reserve for these "perilous times". And it makes me humble to realize that I'm his MOM. That is a BIG responsibility! Crazy times are ahead and we need these kids & youth to be courageous and strong! I am just so proud of the young man Brady is becoming!

Image
Colby (10.5) is my comic relief. He keeps me from sweating all the small stuff! He's such a sweet, kind hearted guy! He is excited to follow in Brady's footsteps by reminding me that HE'LL be 12 in 17 months now... EEK!!! He's always struggled to follow in Brady's shadow, but he's starting to come into his own and realize he has different strengths and talents to share in his own, unique way. (Isn't amazing how smart kids are?)

Image
Remy.... Remy, Remy, Remy (2.5) - He is so funny! I love that boy! He has brought such a new dynamic and dimension to our family - it's very hard to put it into words.
JUST so you can appreciate how hilarious he is - here are some of his recent quotes:

"Grandma - go to McDonald's and buy me lunch. I want chicken."

"That's MY Castle where I get married" (The Sleeping Beauty castle on the Disney movies)

"I not Remy - I SUPER Remy!"

Shrieking "I NOT CRANKY PANTS!!!"

"Brady, You go take a bath. Then Colby turn."

2011 was a busy year for us! We went camping, the boys & I went to Seattle & Forks, WA. We visited my Grandma who I haven't seen in 10 years and all my cousins & family happened to be in town too! It was GREAT!!!
My brother got married to his cute (now) wife! We love her! And I became a great-aunt as my brother's step-daughter had her first baby.
I went on Trek in June but was released from Young Women's in September :'(. It was a super hard thing for me! (it still kinda is. I was in YW's for 8 years and it was just such a big part of me) I miss my friends & associates, but I'm thankful we can still be Sisters in the Gospel! :)

Now I am the SR Primary "Music Leader" (which I'm thankful doesn't require any musical training! LOL!! I just go have fun!) and the Bear Cub Scout Den Leader, which I'm just barely getting my feet wet. It's amazing after having 2 sons through the program that I have NO IDEA what I'm doing! LOL!! But it'll be great and fun and I'm excited for upcoming opportunities and activities!!!

Kelly is working, working, working - - but he has had wonderful doors of opportunity opened up to him! I'm happy that he LOVES what he does for his work and he thrives at it! :) It blesses all of us :) The poor guy still struggles with his back & all the pain & trials that go along with it, but he's cheerful and resilient which I think is a blessing for him :) I KINDA LIKE HIM ;)

So now you're all caught up :)

I wanted to post more pix of our adventures, but Blogger wouldn't let me so here's a few that it would below:

We have HIGH expectations for this year! We have had many blessings poured out upon our heads that we feel so richly and abundantly blessed!!
We are excited for all that lies ahead of us :)

Chunk says . . .

"Colby is the Tasmanian Devil in human form."

*If you've ever come to our house, you totally know this is true! The instant he hits the door, his coat, backpack, boots, shoes, pants, shirt, socks come tumbling off in a whirlwind until he's in his 'undies' and hides in his blankets the rest of the day*

Truer words were never spoken.
