Yes. I am Lame.
Yes. I haven't blogged a year... Yes. it's a New Year's Resolution.. wait, what's the date? the 23rd? GO TEAM ANE!! LOL!!
Anyways, This is a more appropriate avenue to brag about my family than facebook - therefore - I will :)
Brady turned 12 on this past thursday - so yesterday he received the Aaronic Priesthood! I am bursting with pride and love for my "baby boy"! (Trust me friends, it goes a LOT faster than you think!!) One thing that impressed me during his blessing was that Brady was told that he would be a "defender of the church". 3 times he was told that. I think that is awesome and amazing! It just shows these spirits will truly held in reserve for these "perilous times". And it makes me humble to realize that I'm his MOM. That is a BIG responsibility! Crazy times are ahead and we need these kids & youth to be courageous and strong! I am just so proud of the young man Brady is becoming!

Colby (10.5) is my comic relief. He keeps me from sweating all the small stuff! He's such a sweet, kind hearted guy! He is excited to follow in Brady's footsteps by reminding me that HE'LL be 12 in 17 months now... EEK!!! He's always struggled to follow in Brady's shadow, but he's starting to come into his own and realize he has different strengths and talents to share in his own, unique way. (Isn't amazing how smart kids are?)
Remy.... Remy, Remy, Remy (2.5) - He is so funny! I love that boy! He has brought such a new dynamic and dimension to our family - it's very hard to put it into words.
JUST so you can appreciate how hilarious he is - here are some of his recent quotes:
"Grandma - go to McDonald's and buy me lunch. I want chicken."
"That's MY Castle where I get married" (The Sleeping Beauty castle on the Disney movies)
"I not Remy - I SUPER Remy!"
Shrieking "I NOT CRANKY PANTS!!!"
"Brady, You go take a bath. Then Colby turn."
2011 was a busy year for us! We went camping, the boys & I went to Seattle & Forks, WA. We visited my Grandma who I haven't seen in 10 years and all my cousins & family happened to be in town too! It was GREAT!!!
My brother got married to his cute (now) wife! We love her! And I became a great-aunt as my brother's step-daughter had her first baby.
I went on Trek in June but was released from Young Women's in September :'(. It was a super hard thing for me! (it still kinda is. I was in YW's for 8 years and it was just such a big part of me) I miss my friends & associates, but I'm thankful we can still be Sisters in the Gospel! :)
Now I am the SR Primary "Music Leader" (which I'm thankful doesn't require any musical training! LOL!! I just go have fun!) and the Bear Cub Scout Den Leader, which I'm just barely getting my feet wet. It's amazing after having 2 sons through the program that I have NO IDEA what I'm doing! LOL!! But it'll be great and fun and I'm excited for upcoming opportunities and activities!!!
Kelly is working, working, working - - but he has had wonderful doors of opportunity opened up to him! I'm happy that he LOVES what he does for his work and he thrives at it! :) It blesses all of us :) The poor guy still struggles with his back & all the pain & trials that go along with it, but he's cheerful and resilient which I think is a blessing for him :) I KINDA LIKE HIM ;)
So now you're all caught up :)
I wanted to post more pix of our adventures, but Blogger wouldn't let me so here's a few that it would below:
(this pic is cool, cuz it's Remy in the foreground & the boys playing football in the background)

We have HIGH expectations for this year! We have had many blessings poured out upon our heads that we feel so richly and abundantly blessed!!
We are excited for all that lies ahead of us :)
