Any technical issues affecting the general availability or quality of our services will be displayed below. You can see an overview of each service's health, upcoming maintenance as well as incidents that have occurred in the last 30 days.

Maintenance
Hosting upgrade & migration (Fistral)

As scheduled, we'll shortly be proceeding with Fistral's migration to hosting01 at approx. 21:00 (UK time). The maintenance window is expected to span approx. 12 hours, but any visible disruption to your service will be kept to an absolute minimum (less than 1 hour for most customers).

We will keep our status page updated with our progress, thank you for your patience & understanding whilst we refresh your hosting service.


Update @ 00:45 (In Progress) – Fistral's migration is progressing well and should be completed in the next 3-4 hours, we'll update you as soon as it's completed, thank you.


Update @ 06:15 (Completed) – We've finished our post-migration final tasks & checks and we're pleased to report that Fistral's migration has been completed successfully.

If your domain(s) are using the name servers ns1 & ns2.cloudabove.com or ns1 & ns2.swbroadband.co.uk, your upgrade is complete and no further action is required.

Customers using third-party name servers will need to manually update their DNS records to replace any reference to 176.74.20.112 with 194.110.243.34.

Email settings

If you're having trouble sending or receiving today, please double check your email settings:

IMAP accounts

Incoming server address: mail.yourdomain.com or hosting01.layerip.com – replace yourdomain.com with your actual domain
Port: 993 (replacing 143)
SSL/Security: Enabled or Auto

POP accounts

Incoming server address: mail.yourdomain.com or hosting01.layerip.com – replace yourdomain.com with your actual domain
Port: 995 (replacing 110)
SSL/Security: Enabled or Auto

SMTP (outgoing)

Incoming server address: mail.yourdomain.com or hosting01.layerip.com – replace yourdomain.com with your actual domain
Port: 465 (replacing 25)
SSL/Security: Enabled or Auto

Your username and password has not changed, you only need to ensure your settings align with the above. If you're having trouble getting reconnected and need urgent access to your emails, the webmail can be found here: https://hosting01.layerip.com:2096

Other changes

  • FTP access now requires you to connect securely using the encryption option FTP over SSL/TLS (explicit)
  • If you use an SMTP plugin or integration on your website (e.g. SendGrid, Mandrill, Brevo etc), please contact us to be added to the white list
  • If you connect your MySQL databases remotely (e.g. MySQL Workbench, SequelPro), please contact us with your public IP address(es) so that we can allow you to connect again. Applications (e.g. WordPress or Magento) that are hosted on your service and use MySQL are not affected by this change

Lastly, the cPanel address has been changed to https://hosting01.layerip.com:2083. Your cPanel username and password has remained the same.

As scheduled, we'll shortly be proceeding with Crantock's migration to hosting09 in the next few minutes. The maintenance window is expected to span approx. 12 hours, but any visible disruption to your service will be kept to an absolute minimum (less than 1 hour for most customers).

Update @ 21:45 (In Progress) – Crantock's migration is progressing well and should be completed by approximately 1 AM tonight. We'll issue another update as soon as we've completed our post-migration checks later tonight.


Update @ 02:00 (Completed) – We've finished our post-migration final tasks & checks and we're pleased to report that Crantock's migration has been completed successfully.
