Jamison:
Because Jamison is never sick (and because I am a slacker Mom) I just took him to the Dr. for his 4 year old well visit and shots. I loved the Doctor and staff. I have had some great luck with friends referring me to awesome Doctors. Jay did great and just kept saying how much he loved going to the Doctor. He thought all of the tests were so fun. He really loved the eye test. The cool part I thought was all of the questions the Doc asked. He asked him questions about guns, fire safety, seat belts and even about...how should I say this...that no one should be touching his boy parts. I thought it was great to see how much he really knows. Note to self, teach Jay what matches are. (You would think having a firefighter Dad he would have remembered that one?) I thought he would have a major meltdown with the shots, but he did awesome. He had three done. He cried for sure, but it was more of a suffer in silence cry. Afterwards we went for ice cream, which makes everything better! I was so proud of him.
Me:
I went in for my 30 week check. A little while ago I got the results from my glucose test I finally took. Good on my sugars, however I seem to have really low iron. So, I have been trying to up that as much as possible with out having to take supplements. I have even thought about downing prune juice because it surprisingly has about 10.5mg of iron in it. (Spinach only has 2.0mg) Popeye had it all wrong. Everything else with the visit went good. I gained about a pound a week..the "norm" whatever that is. So, so far I have gained 20 pounds. I cross my fingers and legs that it is not too much more than that. Now in my third trimester I am having so different kinds of problems. I have been having pain on my left side and back while walking. The Doc said she is sitting right on one of my nerves and I can't really do much about it. Not to mention my sciatic nerve. Also, I have been getting really light headed. Yesterday I was just sitting at the table talking to Randy and got super dizzy like I was going to pass out. He carried me to the bed where I had to lie down for about a half an hour to get rid of it. I am so happy my husband is so strong. These things I didn't have with Jay so it is all new to me. Again just trying to take it easy, but I can't stand it when it has been so beautiful outside. Anyway, I will post a pic at 32 weeks. So, probably next week.

OK
Just making sure that everyone knows that I was kidding about having Swine Flu. In fact, I know I don't even have any type of the flu. I guess that is what I get for attempting to be funny.
My apologies to those that do have it...and who are really suffering...

Sicky
I have had this hacking smokers cough for about a week. Nothing is working. Sometimes I cough so hard I think that I will literally die form lack of oxygen. I think I have pulled every muscle in my back and stomach. I don't think baby is too happy either because I keep her up all night. I have no other symptoms except this blasted cough. I don't know about you, but are you thinking Swine Flu???? My thoughts exactly.

Catch up....
April has been a long, crazy and fun month. We had lots of visitors and birthdays and such to keep up really busy. Lacey and Abby were here for a while and it was really hard to seem them go. I think both of our babies will be off to college before we see each other again. But, that's life. We had a great Easter with the Grandma's (Jody and Imy.) We are so grateful for everything they did for us and for ALL of the help they were. (My Mom went above and beyond letting me get the rest I needed when I was having all my bleeding issues.)They had to head back home a few days after Lacey and Abby. Here are a few snap shots...

Me and Mom

Gram and her vitamins

Gram and Jay
Randy's Birthday:
Randy's Birthday was on the 16Th. We went to dinner and a movie while the grandma's watched Jay. It was nice to have some alone time together. Randy has been working so much lately we feel like sometimes we hardly see each other. I got Randy a watch and Jay got him some car washing supplies. I think Jay was more excited about the gifts then Randy. He couldn't wait to give it to him, it was so cute. Randy got many phone calls and Birthday wishes.
My Birthday:
As soon as I woke up Randy wanted to give me my present. To give you a little back story, Randy is horrible with surprises. I will give him credit for a few good ones since we have been married, but normally the record is not good. He either gets too excited and tells me right away (blaming it on me that I forced it out of him) or he leaves a receipt on the counter right in my view or something. But, I can actually say I had NO idea about what he was going to get me. So when he handed me my gift I was stunned. He got me diamond earrings and a necklace. The earrings are princess cut (which match my wedding ring) and are beautiful. The necklace is pretty too, but is more sentimental to me. It is a heart with a mother holding a baby with diamonds around it. I will cherish forever. I think the thing that meant the most to me was the fact that Randy has been secretly saving for 6 months to get me these things. Once I heard that this black heart actually shed a few tears. (I blame it on the baby.) I was so overwhelmed at the thought and love he put into thinking about me. Randy does wonderful things for me everyday, but this made me feel so special and loved. That day we went and hung out at the Jamison's house and then grabbed some hamburgers and shakes and went to the park. The day was beautiful and couldn't have been better.
Grandma Jeanna:
Grammie flew in on the 21st. It was a short trip, but we got a lot done. She came in for both Kevin and Jessie's graduations. On the 22ND Kevin Bell got his Paramedics Certificate. We are so proud of all the hard work he has done. We are also excited to have another paramedic in the family.

We attended a graduation for him and then that night got together for a combined Me, Randy, Jeanna, Kevin birthday party. We had a yummy barbecue with beans, potato salad, ham, chicken, etc.....oh so good! Jeanna also took me shopping for my birthday and I got a cute new dress and skirt for church and some shirts. (Church clothes are scarce for me these days.) On Thursday Randy, Jay and Jeanna along with the Kev and Jessie and the Nelson Family went and hiked the "Y." I was sad I couldn't go, but didn't really feel like having my baby a top a mountain. Jeanna has the pics so I will have to get those from her. After they came home, it was a little rest and then Jeanna and Randy went to Jessie's Graduation ceremony. I was very disappointed I couldn't go. I had severe problems with back pain which made it so I could barely walk. I guess it worked out because I don't think we would have been able to wrangle Jay to sit still for 4 hours anyway. (Between getting there early and the whole ceremony and all.) They said it was awesome and we are so happy Jessie has accomplished her goals. Go BYU!
Softball:
Randy is now on a softball team. It is constructed of a team of fireman. Yesterday was their first game that hasn't been cancelled due to weather. We almost thought this game would be cancelled too, it was SO windy. The guys did great and we were so proud of Randy. He played center field and most of the balls went strait to him. I always knew he was a good catch! :) I won't state the scores, but they didn't win either game. It was sure fun to watch though. Jay thought it was the coolest thing ever. He kept giving him his classic thumbs up.

After the game Randy had to literally carry me to the car. Not sure why I have been in so much pain lately. I came home took a bath and a magic little friend to help ease the pain. I plan on doing NOTHING these next few days to see if my body can recover. You forget how much you use your body until you can't anymore. I think Randy will be resting too, with all of the hiking and sports. We are too old for this.

Pregnancy Scare # 2
Easter Sunday must have some sort of curse on it. It seems like everything always goes wrong. Whether it is as simple as as missing the entire thing last year because I had the flu so bad, or as serious as my in laws house burning down, something always seems to go wrong. Well Sunday morning was fine. We got up, got dressed and went to church. I was in an extra good mood because my Mom came with us. Well by the third hour I realized that I started bleeding. The bad kind that makes you instant panic when you are pregnant. We grabbed our stuff, went strait home and I called the Doctor. Luckily my Doc was the one on call and he called me back right away. He stated that I needed to go into Labor and Delivery. At this point I was semi freaking out because I have never had bleeding before, and I was having some cramps/tightening contractions along with the bleeding. When I got to the hospital the first thing they had me do was put on a gown. That was the trickiest part of the visit. It took Lacey and I about 10 min to figure out how to put it on. Good thing I wasn't really in labor. ( And yes, we have both worn gowns numerous times before, but I swear this one was from the future or something.) So they had me hooked up to fetal and contraction monitors. Nothing was better in the world then hearing the sound of that heart beat. I instantly felt calm and knew things were going to be OK. They kept me on the monitors for about an hour. My blood pressure was a little higher than normal, but I think it was due to the stress of the situation. They stated that everything looked fine and that 25% of women have unexplained bleeding in pregnancy. So my Rx was to take it easy/rest for 3 days. I am not sure what caused it all, but kinda think it is from doing to much all of the sudden. (Lifting kids, grocery's, walking a lot etc.) I am feeling so blessed at the miracle of this little baby inside me. I am grateful everyday that goes by that she is in there kicking and doing her back flips. I also felt blessed to have my family with me when this all happened because Randy had to work on Easter Sunday.

Shower
Saturday was my baby shower. I decided to do it early since my family would be in town. Probably not the best idea because it was the day before Easter and many couldn't come last minute. Still, we had a decent turn out and I had fun. Here are a few pics my friend Timbra took:
We played a game where you had to call people by their tag name. Mine was "womb."

A few people...

Timbra and I prego together...both having girls.
We hung out, ate, and played a baby version of my favorite game scatagories. I couldn't have asked for better.

Thank you to everyone for coming and making that day so special.
Lacey has more pics so when I get those I will post them too.
Eggies...
Last Friday we went over to Kelly's house and dyed Easter eggs. The kids had a lot of fun. Abby enjoyed licking her fingers with the vinegar water, yummy. I think I have more fun dying the eggs then the kids, I love it. Afterwards we hid a couple of eggs for the kids and let them have a little egg hunt. I filled the eggs with little toys instead of candy so they wouldn't be in a sugar coma. The weather was kinda iffy so we had to take our chances, About 20 min after we did the egg hunt, it started to rain.

28 Weeks
Dentist

Jamison did so good at the dentist. After the nightmare 6 months ago with all the cavities I am happy to report that he doesn't have a single one. The dentist thought he was so good they let him pick out 2 treats! I don't know why he loves the dentist so much, but he already wants to go back....weirdo. When we were walking out he said, " Mom, I am so embarrassed that I don't have any cavity's!" It was hilarious.

Visiting...
Lacey and Abby are here for a good spell. The first few days were lame because of the weather. We made a hot chocolate run and watched some movies. But then the sun came out...HALLELUJAH!!!! We headed over to the Timpanogos Temple because Lacey had never seen it. Just our luck it was closed for maintenance. They were spraying pesticides or something up in the trees. I seem to have impeccable timing? We also went to a couple different parks. Mom and Grandma Imy drive in from Cali tomorrow. Not sure what we will do yet, but we hope the weather is nice!
