*More for journaling purposes*
Some of our very favorite people came to visit us. We have gone to AZ twice to visit so it was their turn to come to us. We had some great times and many many laughs. Really, I forgot I could laugh so hard. Our week at a glance.
Saturday-Got up early and had a yard sale. Everything went and I was only out there from 7-10:30am. It started getting hot, so I called it a day. It was all stuff we were going to just take to DI anyway. I made 85 bucks...not bad. Jarrom and Charla arrived that night and we hung out and shot the breeze.
Sunday- Went to church and did a little scripture study afterwards. J &C went to their fams house and came back later that night.
Monday- Got up early and went to see the freedom days hot air balloons. We got there before they were blown up and then got to see them all take off. They had one balloon hold the flag while playing patriotic music. (Only Utah would celebrate on Monday instead of Sunday.) We then went to Kneaders for breakfast. Randy and Jarrom went and played disc golf. Later that day we went back to the Freedom Days Festival and walked around and had snow cones. That night Charla and I went to see the movie "Eclipse."
Tuesday- Jensen had a doctor's appt. so I took her and everyone else went to Kangaroo Zoo (a bounce house.) Later that day we went to a birthday party and then came home and Charla's cousin Erin came over for a bit.
Wednesday-The boys went fishing. Then our old friends from Cali (and Jarrom's long time bff) Jeff and his fam came over and the kids played. We then went up the canyon and roasted hot dogs and ate smores. The weather was perfect and most of the kids were on their best behavior. And by most, I mean everyone but Jentsy.
Thursday-We went up to Park City. We grabbed some lunch and headed over to do the Alpine slides and zip line. As soon as we bought our ticket they closed it down due to lighting. About ten minutes later it started pouring rain. We waited it out by going to the Rocky Mountain chocolate factory and buying $1000 chocolates. The rain never seemed to let up so we headed home. Charla and I were really disappointed because we really wanted to do the zip line. When we got home the boys went and saw the movie "Toy Story 3" and then Chuck (Charla) and I went shopping. She taught me the finer things about the way clothes are supposed to fit and that I don't have to buy all my clothes on sale or at DI and garage sales. Lesson learned. That night Sarah Molina was in town and came over and we played a great game of progressive rummy.
Friday-We went to Bicentennial Park and met up with Chuck's fam. The boys played disc golf and the kids played and we had a nice picnic. We stayed at the park for like a good 4 hours. I think when we came home we all crashed out, ordered a pizza for dinner and then played cards all night. Early the next morning the Martins left.
Jamison and Evan had the best time playing together. They both have the same temperament so they got along really well. They had fun wrestling and telling each other "I'm going get you young man!" I don't know where they got it or heard it, but it was funny. We are wishing SOOO bad that they would move to Utah. Alas it will never happen because Chuck is anti-snow. So I guess we will just have to keep visiting her in her sweat box AZ that she likes to call home.
