Emotions

"You've got me feeling emotions
Deeper than I've ever dreamed of
You've got me feeling emotions
Higher then the heavens above!'

Little Screamy can't make up her mind to be sad or happy.
Sad
Happy

*Excuse my voice in the background. I was throwing a bottle in the air and catching it to make her laugh.

Tooth Fairy

Look who lost another tooth....
It happened in while in Cali. The tooth was SO loose and wiggly that I was fearful Jay would swallow it. So with extensive convincing I finally was able to pull it out. He cried like a baby until it was out and then started laughing...just like last time. Why won't he believe me that it won't hurt?

Cali Cont. Part 3

Sunday-Woke up, had some breakfast and then headed off to church. Afterward we went back to the walkers to say our good byes to Angela and her family. Then, we went with Kev Jessie and the Clements family up to Randy's Dad Mike's house. There, we saw his Grandma Kathy, Uncle Craig and Vikki and some other friends of the family. We BBQed hamburgers and ate some good food. (I swear the whole trip all we did was eat and drive around...) I didn't really get any pictures of this because Jensen was having a major melt down and Randy and I spent the whole time in shifts dealing with her. I think the heat was making us all delirious by the end of the week. We were going to leave for home this night, but we were all so tired it just was not happening.
Monday-Tried to sleep in as much as possible. With Jensen bright and early it really wasn't happening. Jay had spent the night in Grammies room the night before.(She was giving me a break in case he woke up in the night again...too nice.) We hung out for a bit and then headed back to my Uncle Ted's house. There we got to see my Grandpa Ted and his wife Judith. They were in town from AZ and we happened to catch them before we left. I was so glad to see them. We had some lunch and Randy took a nap to prepare for the drive home. The fam also tried to wear out the kids so they would be tired. After we said our goodbyes we headed back up to Auburn...I told you a lot of driving. Jeanna had made us dinner and we ended up leaving at about 8:00 pm. This worked out perfect because the kids went right to sleep. It was SO hard for Randy and I. At about 2:00 am Randy couldn't do it any more and I took my turn at the wheel. I was tired but I didn't want to stop so I pushed through splashing water in my face and eating pop tarts like they were M&Ms. (Feeling guilty about that now...) We made it home in one piece and on Tuesday Randy and I took shifts taking naps. I seem to think I got the raw end of the deal though. Randy can sleep through anything while I woke up every time Screamy had an episode. But, SOOO happy to be home in my own bed. Traveling with kids is rough.

Cali Cont. part 2

Friday- That morning we had breakfast, Kev made us some pancakes. We headed back over to a family friend of the Walker's house. We swam for a bit and Kev and Rans showed us all their best moves/tricks in the pool. Jessie and I were scared for their lives (really just cracking their heads open) but, then we realized they could do CPR and trauma rescue on each other. It was Jensen's first time in the pool and she loved it! Randy's mom Jeanna then brought over all the food for us to prep for the wedding. We cut watermelons, honey do and cantaloupe. Then we made dozens and dozens of tortilla roll ups. We had an assembly line going and we whipped them out pretty quick. Afterwards (about 9:30pm) we went back over to The Walkers and Rans, Kev, Jeanna and a friend Peggy went down to set up some things/decorations up for the next day. They did an awesome job, but they didn't get to bed until around 2:00 am. I am thinking that Jeanna basically pulled an all nighter. Jay woke up in the middle of the night with his famous leg cramps a few times this trip. So sleep for both Randy and I for the whole trip equaled slim to none.
Saturday-This day scares me to write about because it was so crazy. Woke up and headed for the Sacramento Temple. My mom met us there and picked up the kids. The ceremony was beautiful and Laura (Randy's sister) looked so pretty in her dress. Randy's step sister Angela and her family were able to come all the way from Hawaii. They were on a stand by military flight so we were not sure if they were going to make it. They ended up making it literally minutes before it all started. We were SO happy they came because it was the first time I had ever met them and Rans hadn't seen Angela in well over 10 years. Afterwards we took a few pictures and then headed out to grab a snack. We were in search of a smoothie place and never found one...weird. We went with Kev and Jessie to pick up the cake and Randy and I grabbed a donut instead (I know, you are jealous at how healthy we are.) Then we went over to the church to help set up for the Reception. They had a little BBQ lunch for friends and family. When things had settled, we opened the cake box and realized it wasn't at all what was ordered or wanted. It was a colossal event... I am telling you. They ended up scraping all the frosting on the cake and a friend Rachel was a life savor by redecorating it with extra flowers and what not. Mean while, Randy and I drove back to the store to try and complain explain the situation. We then had to go and pick up the kids from my Mom. We met her at In and Out Burger, too bad we had already eaten. We were driving back and forth across town and I think we put 1,000 miles on our car that day. So, back to the reception to finish food prep, get the kids and ourselves dressed. Then whew...it started. Almost all the fam was there, which was so fun. I felt like we could finally relax for a minute. They cut the cake and had their dance and all that Jazz. Laura looked very happy and beautiful. Their colors were kelly green and white and the Groom, Shawn, wore a chain metal vest he had made starting from years before. The groomsmen all wore chain metal ties. It was a great event. Afterwards we cleaned up, packed up and loaded up all of the decorations and left over food. It went fairly quick with so many hands. I think we were done by 9:30pm or 10:00pm. We drove back up to Auburn and we were all exhausted.

Cali Cont.

Wednesday- This was our catch up day. I had LOTS of little errands to run here and there. I went to several stores gathering things for the wedding and what not. I got to stop in and see my friend Kendall and her little boy. It was a qick visit but I am so glad I did. Later after heading back to my Uncle's house, my friend Brooke and her daughter got to come up for a little visit. She now lives in the same town as my fam so it worked out perfectly. I hadn't seen her in 2 years so it was great to see her prego and all. Both Kendall and Brooke are so amazing and such strong women. I feel blessed to still keep in touch after all these years. Jay and Randy played some disc golf in the yard and we sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather.
Thursday - We headed down to Napa at around 9:30am. There, we got to visit with Randy's grandma Donna and Grandpa Steve. Later we got to see his aunt Becky. We ate Kentucky fried chicken and talked. Jay rode a little scooter in the back yard and I took some pictures of Grandma's beautiful flowers. Afterwards we stopped by to see Randy's uncle Craig at his job site. Following that we headed to Randy's sister Karen's house for tacos. Karen and Josh took Jay swimming while we vegged out on the couch. ( I should mention that Kev and Jess were with us all day too.) That night we headed up to Auburn to stay the night.

Cali won't rally

*I have chosen to blog like this because it is much easier to upload it to my book this way. So it is not the best for blogging, but hey...too bad.*

We started our trek on Sunday (11th) at 5:00pm. Big mistake...huge. Jensen screamed for the first 5 1/2 hours. At 10:30pm she finally fell asleep. It was rough. Jay was an all star and didn't complain once. We got there at about 2:00 am and crashed.
Monday-Slowly woke up and got ready. Randy rode along with his Dad Dave to work. (We barely ever get to see him because he has to work so much so it was a great opportunity.) I took the kids and headed to my Aunt and Uncles house (Ted and Kay Lea.) We hung out and then had a yummy dinner. The missionaries were over too so they shared a little thought with us.
Tuesday-My mom, Gram and aunt watched the kids so that Randy and I could go on a double date with Kevin and Jessie. We drove to Tahoe and it was beautiful. We hiked far down to the water down to the Viking Castle. I wanted to jump right in the water it looked so blue and refreshing. We didn't have our suits on, but if we did I might have not care how cold the water was. We were pretty short on time so we grabbed some lunch and headed back. I would have loved to have stayed all day and camped right there in the sand...next time. Kev and jess were great company and I think it was our first time with them with out the kids. Right when we got home we saw some deer right in front yard of my Uncles house. They were not even afraid of us. That night we had another yummy dinner. All the fam came up and we got to see everyone.

Jensen 12 months

Image

Weight: 18.52 lbs.  12.05 %
Height 28.25 inches     24.37%
Head 17.75 inches   51.6%

Our Sweet little baby. Still just the tiniest little thing. The Doc just says keep doing what we are doing because she is gaining weight. She is now walking pretty well and roaming all over the house. We have started calling her "Screamy" because it is what she does all day everyday. We have tried EVERYTHING and nothing makes her stop. She refuses to sign and sometimes the screaming comes out of no where. I understand that her back molars are coming through, but when my wisdom teeth were popping up I didn't randomly scream. I have had many sit down mother/daughter heart to hearts telling her that, "Mama's eardrums are bleeding little Dolly can you please not scream so loud?" It is for SURE not working.

Mart-innnns!

*More for journaling purposes*

Some of our very favorite people came to visit us. We have gone to AZ twice to visit so it was their turn to come to us. We had some great times and many many laughs. Really, I forgot I could laugh so hard. Our week at a glance.

Saturday-Got up early and had a yard sale. Everything went and I was only out there from 7-10:30am. It started getting hot, so I called it a day. It was all stuff we were going to just take to DI anyway. I made 85 bucks...not bad. Jarrom and Charla arrived that night and we hung out and shot the breeze.
Sunday- Went to church and did a little scripture study afterwards. J &C went to their fams house and came back later that night.
Monday- Got up early and went to see the freedom days hot air balloons. We got there before they were blown up and then got to see them all take off. They had one balloon hold the flag while playing patriotic music. (Only Utah would celebrate on Monday instead of Sunday.) We then went to Kneaders for breakfast. Randy and Jarrom went and played disc golf.  Later that day we went back to the Freedom Days Festival and walked around and had snow cones. That night Charla and I went to see the movie "Eclipse."
Tuesday- Jensen had a doctor's appt. so I took her and everyone else went to Kangaroo Zoo (a bounce house.) Later that day we went to a birthday party and then came home and Charla's cousin Erin came over for a bit.
Wednesday-The boys went fishing. Then our old friends from Cali (and Jarrom's long time bff) Jeff and his fam came over and the kids played. We then went up the canyon and roasted hot dogs and ate smores. The weather was perfect and most of the kids were on their best behavior. And by most, I mean everyone but Jentsy.
Thursday-We went up to Park City. We grabbed some lunch and headed over to do the Alpine slides and zip line. As soon as we bought our ticket they closed it down due to lighting. About ten minutes later it started pouring rain. We waited it out by going to the Rocky Mountain chocolate factory and buying $1000 chocolates. The rain never seemed to let up so we headed home. Charla and I were really disappointed because we really wanted to do the zip line. When we got home the boys went and saw the movie "Toy Story 3" and then Chuck (Charla) and I went shopping. She taught me the finer things about the way clothes are supposed to fit and that I don't have to buy all my clothes on sale or at DI and garage sales. Lesson learned. That night Sarah Molina was in town and came over and we played a great game of progressive rummy.
Friday-We went to Bicentennial Park and met up with Chuck's fam. The boys played disc golf and the kids played and we had a nice picnic. We stayed at the park for like a good 4 hours. I think when we came home we all crashed out, ordered a pizza for dinner and then played cards all night. Early the next morning the Martins left.

Jamison and Evan had the best time playing together. They both have the same temperament so they got along really well. They had fun wrestling and telling each other "I'm going get you young man!" I don't know where they got it or heard it, but it was funny. We are wishing SOOO bad that they would move to Utah. Alas it will never happen because Chuck is anti-snow. So I guess we will just have to keep visiting her in her sweat box AZ that she likes to call home.
