A quick visit

Image

Image

Timbra and the kids came over for a little visit. I only see her every year to year and half even though she only lives 45 min. away....sad really. Tim was teaching me some camera tricks which is why the lighting is so bright, still working on it. We had fun, played for a bit and talked about our crazy lives. When you have kids about the same age, you have A LOT to talk about. Our babies were just babies last time we saw each other so it was good to catch up.

Mama's Little Artist

Jensen LOVES drawing. Her favorite thing is a pencil, or "gockle" as she calls it. She can say "paper" and "please"  so it is beyond a mystery why she can't pronounce pencil. Anyway, She loves to sit up at the bar and draw. However she has now found out that her best canvas is the wall. The pic above is the 4th time that day that she drew on the wall and I cleaned it off. I am not sure what to do as punishment for this. I have tried the corner, taking the paper and pencil immediately away and getting mad (which isn't a method at all, but happened to slip out.) I have done a little research on this and it said to be open minded because she is just expressing herself. I can't keep a pencil away from her forever....Plus, she has to do her "homework" when Jay does his. I have a feeling I will be scrubbing walls for a long time to come. Jay NEVER did this and wasn't even interested in drawing until like this year. Girls.

3 things you may not know...

Randy: Won't eat chicken with bones in it. Sometimes listens to his IPOD to fall asleep. Loves Oreos.

Codee: Sleeps with a water bottle, chap stick and Kleenex by my bed every night. HATES being tickled. Can't stand the sound of someone scraping their fork on a plate.

Jamison: Doesn't like tomatoes or potatoes. Only likes to wear blue pants to school (jeans). Thinks he never gets to do anything.

Jensen: Loves drawing with a pencil and paper. Favorite cereal is Cracklin Oat Bran. Is left handed.

For Valentines Day we decided to stay home because we hate the crowds (yes, we are old.) We invited Kevin and Jessie over and we had some amazing food. They made green tacos which were to die for. We also had some chips and guacamole and some pazookies and ice cream for dessert. I feel spoiled eating so good lately.
Randy got me some beautiful flowers, a card and the key to my heart...donuts. The only thing that ruined the day was that I was so caught up in getting ready for the special day, that I forgot it was early out day at school for Jay. 2 Mother of the year awards now. He was crying in the office and I felt horrible. I like to blame it on my pregnant brain, but really I just totally forgot. Good thing he forgives easily.

A Valentine from Jay

Image
*Jay lost another tooth...his 6th
Jay made me a Valentine at school and this is what it said:

Dear Mom,
Thank you so much for being a wonderful Mom. I love you as much as a Zoo. You are the best Mom I have ever had. Have a good Anniversary with Dad and Happy Valentines Day. Thank you so much for treating me nice.
Love,
Jamison

It melted my heart. He actually spelled almost every word right, probably better than I could do. He loves me as much as a zoo because he thinks the zoo is really big. It's an inside joke between us.:)

Valentines/ 10th Anniversary

Randy and I celebrated 10 years on February 9th, 2011. It is so crazy that it has been that long. I cannot imagine my life with out Randy and I feel so blessed to love him more now than ever. You never think you could love someone more than on your wedding day, but it is so true. We really celebrated when we went to San Diego in November so we just did something little that day. Randy got me a beautiful necklace and I got Randy 10 random gifts to tell him how much I love him. (Some of his fav things.)

That day we had a get together with all the family that was in town, so we more celebrated last night. Kelly watched the kids for us, which was awesome. We went up the canyon to Midway to the Zermatt Resort. Midway is such a cute little town and looked like something you would see on a Hallmark made for TV movie. We went up there with Randy's Fire Captain and the rest of the crew and their wives. Randy changed crews this year so it was the first time I had met most of them. We had SUCH a good time. I laughed so hard the whole night. The food was to DIE for. I had crab legs, the best salmon with asparagus I have ever tasted and fresh cod tacos. (It was seafood night.) Randy tasted an oyster for the first time. (I would have but I am prego so didn't want to chance it.) They had everything you could imagine. It was a German/Swiss type place so they had every kind of cheese and fruit, steak, yummy sushi and a dessert table that was out of this world. My only regret is that the baby was taking up too much room and I couldn't eat as much as I wanted to. Some of the men, I believe, ate their weight in crab legs and butter. It was one of those things you don't do often, but is so fun when you do!

It's A BOY!!!!!!!

Image

Image
I had my Ultrasound last Friday. Randy and I were pretty confident going in that it was a boy. I was mainly concerned about the baby's health because I had had some funky dreams and I was starting to get worried that something may be wrong. All my fears were put to ease as the tech went through each part and reassured me that everything looked healthy and normal. He was moving around quite a bit and was crossing his legs pretty much the whole time. She had to come back three different times to try and find the sex. I told her if I had to get up and dance around the room to make the baby move I would do it. Finally we found out we were having a boy. The pic is super fuzzy and hard to tell, but something is there:)  The moment I saw this baby moving around and sticking out his tongue, I fell in love. It is so true what they say about how as a mother you feel a connection to each child. How can I love my 3 kids so much? I loved the look on Randy's face when he found out it was a boy. He was so excited and so proud. I will never forget it.

20 Weeks

Image
Jay took these..not too bad hunh?
Image

19 Weeks - Still have a plugged nose, but I am thinking that will last the rest of the pregnancy. Having a hard time motivating myself but I think I just need my energy back. I'm hanging in there.
20 Weeks - I find out what I am having on Friday and I am really nervous. All my 100% sure thoughts of me having a boy are starting to scare me a little. Feeling pretty good. I have started going back to spin class and lifting weights. I try to just take it easy. The in and out of saddle are the hardest parts for me because for some reason that motion pulls on my baby ligaments and makes me want to pee. TMI I know.

Kids

Jay kept giving me a goofing grin (cause he is at that silly age) so I don't have a lot of pics of him. He lost another tooth so he is slowly looking like a grandpa. Jensen has a big bruise on her forehead from throwing herself on the kitchen floor when she didn't get her way...what's new right?
