Funny Kids#2

Jay-We went to the fire station to visit Randy and Jay brought his legos to build something with him. After a little bit we said, "Jay you are so lucky that you get to go to Dad's work and build Legos with him. That is really lucky because most kids don't get to do that." Then he said, " Yeah, cause not all kids have Legos."

Jay-"I want to be a grown up right now so I can be a storm chaser!"
Me-"But, you don't even like it when it rains?"
Jay- "Tornadoes don't produce rain,Mom."

Here are a few more shots of the kids at the museam. Jay's favorite part was pretending to be a weather man.

Jay's Halloween Signs

Jay has these hanging on the door of his bedroom...

Do not enter, just exit....too funny.

Beware of Zomison. (Cross between Zombie and Jamison.)

If I put the tape outside the door that is a sign that means that I am busy.

Funny Kids

Jay: Working out with randy. His purpose...to get "more sweaty this time".
Jen: "No thank you wa-wa, Yes thank you milk"
Jen: "I drink the wa-wa"
Jen: Any time I yell out "CRAP" or "Oh Man" no matter when she says "Mom you stub your toe...oooh." "You hurt your back?"
Jay: I was cutting up tomatoes and told Jay I was trying to use them before they spoil. He asked me what that meant. I told him it meant before they went rotten. He said, " Oh, I thought spoiled was when you got to have a lot of fun in one day."
Jay:While playing in the back yard kicked a soccer ball real high and said, "That was a big flame Mom, and I kicked it with just my feet on." (Bare feet.)
Jen: "Don't freak out mom!" "Don't freak out Dad!"
Jen: Waking in the morning from a deep sleep," Mama, I wanna ride my bike!!!" over and over. I tell her, "No Jents, its 5:00am you need to go back to bed." She hands me her blanket and plug and says,"No thank you ni-night."
Jen: When she wants a treat she'll say, "I like cookies." (I yike cookies) or "I like suckers."

Jamison turned 7 this year. To celebrated we went with our friend the Jamison's to the Discovery Museum in Salt Lake. The kids LOVED it. On the day of Randy surprised Jay by taking off work and going to his school to eat lunch with him. He brought him McDonald's. Jay was super stoked. While he was at school we decorated the house and Randy made him this awesome birthday cake. Jay wanted to help frost it because he loves making cakes. We opened a few presents and then went out to Chinese for dinner. It was a great day with the family. At school they celebrated his birthday all week. He got to bring in a bag of objects about himself, his favorite book to read to the class and I wrote a letter to the class describing all the things we love about Jamison. This is what I wrote  (Mainly for journalism purposes):

Dear Class,
Thank you for celebrating Jamison’s Birthday week with him. Jamison is very special to us and we would like to tell you more about him. Jamison is the oldest in the family. He has a little sister and little brother. He is the best big brother and helper we could have. He loves to play soccer and go fishing with his Dad. He recently started drum lessons and he is doing very well. He loves to camp and go hiking.  He has hiked up to the “Y” mountain six times!  He also loves to run, especially around the track with his Mom.

Jamison was born is Sacramento, California. When he was four months old we moved to Fort Worth, Texas. He has also visited many states like: California, Arizona, Alabama, and Florida. In Florida he saw the beach for the first time. He loves to travel and go on long drives up the canyon.

When Jamison was little we used to call him, “Birdy.” When he took take naps he would put his socks on his hands and make a puppet show until he would fall asleep. He loved the movie, “Cars” and always lined them up so that way they could all make it to the finish line at the same time. He also loved to be pulled around in his red wagon.

Jamison’s favorite foods are pizza and donuts. He also loves root beer. When he grows up he wants to be a storm chaser/ firefighter. He wants to be a fire fighter like his Dad because he loves helping people. He wants to be a storm chaser because he loves the weather. He checks the weather every day on the computer and loves to read books about tornados and hurricanes.

Our family is so happy when Jamison is around. He is sweet and kind and always thinking of others. He is really good at sharing with his sister and getting her snacks. We love his hugs and that he is such a great friend to everyone. We love Jamison and we are so proud to be his parents.

Love,
Codee and Randy Bell

Jay loved his birthday and all the phone call birthday wishes. We went a little further this year with the gift giving and got him a Nintendo DSI. He has been asking for one since Kindergarten. With many hands involved (5 family members) we were able to get him one. Thanks everyone for everything.

Cortland 4 Months

Image
Visit 10/6/2011
Weight 12.02 lbs 3.74%
Height 24.25 In   21.8 %
Head  15.94 In   9.75%

Cort was such a good boy for his visit and his shots. He barely cried when Dr. A. examined him and also was so good for his shots. We have been put  through the ringer with this little Cort. The Dr. was concerned with his weight and later grew more concerned when he realized that none of Cort's stats were up to par. We have still been having major puking problems with him and he is super fussy all the time. During the day from 6:00am on, the longest he sleeps is maybe 20 min. Most of the time he wakes up screaming or poops or pukes in his bed. We have tried NUMEROUS things including me being permanently off dairy and a lactose free, soy free partially digested formula. Nothing is working. Our Dr. referred us to a GI specialist that we have already met with. Luckily he didn't seem too concerned with his stats. We are going in for a barium upper GI on Tuesday and I already took in a stool sample of his to be tested. (That was fun.) We are slowly going to figure this out but it honestly might be just something he has to grow out of. We have another weight check in two weeks to see if he has gained. We are crossing our fingers and can't wait for the day when he stops crying all day.

You know me, I'm crazy.

I am a person of random thoughts. Really random thoughts. I think that is why I am always so scattered brained, because I am always thinking. I need to just get it out there. And by "there" I mean out of my head....

-Twice this week I have caught Jensen hiding in the corner brushing her teeth with my tooth brush. I can't decide who to be more grossed out for, her or me?
-I suck at doing things with my left arm.(While holding Cort.) I believe if I ever lost the use of my limbs, I wouldn't make it.
-I saw a man on a bike with a baby bjorn. All I could think about was how that man was going to fall off his bike and crush his baby.
-At the physical therapist I told the assistant that I was excited that the stretches and exercises were working and  how I might even get in shape. She looked at me and said dead faced, "I don't think so." "I mean, I don't want you to get your hopes up." What? What does that even mean? Isn't that your job...to help me think I can do it.Ugh.
-At the gym, after a spin class, it never fails that someone sprays the bike cleaner spray into the fan which blows indirectly right into my eyes.  EVERY TIME.
-I am 30 years old and discovered that now is the time to start washing my face at night. I know it is gross, but I never ever did before. Now, I can't believe I didn't. Maybe I am sick of feeling crusty make up eye, or greasy face. Or, maybe its because I feel like I'll get more wrinkles if I don't.
-I can't figure out what is wrong with me, but it feels like the enamel is coming off of my teeth. I can't figure it out. I thought it was the acid in all the tomatoes I have been eating, but now I am stating think my teeth are slowly crumbling to dust. Maybe I need a second opinion.

Lets start there. Believe me, there is LOTS more.
