Ugh...
My life is so beyond boring right now. I hate winter. It is so last month. I have about enough motivation to finish this sentence...that's it.

Chatting with Jay
We have lots of hilarious chats. So many I wish I could write them all down. One today went a little something like this:
J: So, I have proof that a girl likes me.
Me: What, you do? What is it?
He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a little slip of paper that says,"You are hot." I am laughing inside so hard, but of course I have to mess with him.
Me: You are hot...did you have your coat on or something. Were you sweating?
J: No Mom, it means I'm like handsome.
Me: Oh it does?
Jay: Yeah so she totally likes me.
Me: Well she could think you are handsome and not like you. I mean, I think you are handsome.
Jay: No, she does. Other people told me. And, Like 5 other girls like me too.
Me: Really, how do you know they like you?
Jay: They say I am cute and follow me around and tell my friends that they like me.
Me: Wow Jay. What are you going to do about it?
Jay: Well, I guess I am just going to have to deal with it...ahhh...its so hard having girls like you.
Me: It sounds like it. Why do you think they like you so much?
Jay: Idunno... cuz I am cute and really smart probably.
Me: Yeah that's true bud, but I also think it is because you are really nice. You just need to keep being really nice. Even if you don't like them very much, you still need to be nice to people.
Jay: Yeah, I know.
This boy kills me. Hopeful he will learn to be a little more humble too.Yesterday I had to talk to him about sexual abuse. (One of the requirements for the scouting program.) It was kinda tricky seeing as we haven't had "The talk " with him yet. I am always amazed at how mature he is. He doesn't laugh or giggle or get embarrassed He just says, "Yeah ,OK." I, however, am dying inside The.Whole.Time. I am also fully aware at the bubble he floats around in. I wish he could keep his innocence forever.
We were flipping through the channels on the TV and the B word happen to be right as I was flipping. Actually it was SOB. I told Jay, "Whoa bud that's a bad word, ok?" And he was like "What? Oh, I have never heard that word before." Really, Really.??? I guess that's good right? That he doesn't even know which words are bad? It's crazy to me. And then Randy and I had a good laugh about how he used to get in trouble in Kindergarten for swearing. Love it.

Fire Station
On Christmas Day we went to the fire station where Randy took every one for a ride in the fire truck. The kids LOVED it. We also took a little tour around and actually got to see him on Christmas.

Christmas Eve
I loved Christmas. We stuck with our tradition and did breakfast for dinner on Christmas Eve night. Then we did a short talent show where Jay sang Rudolf the Red nose reindeer and the kids did a mini dance party. After that we had a short program of singing songs and reading a little about Mary, Joseph and Jesus. Then the kids did their best nativity. Jay was the donkey. Nothing like yummy homemade food, family and fun. Papa and Nana got the kids some pjs for christmas. they were so excited. Then, because Randy had to work the next day we opened all but our Santa presents.
