Color Me Rad

 This was super fun. This was the first race I ever got to run with Jamison. We also did it with a bunch of friends. Luckily Jay's buddy's Moms are my good friends too. The color wasn't too bad. They had 5 different sections set up where you were pelted by bags of color. We went early enough that they were throwing out free bags into the crowd and we ended up running with several packets in our socks. I don't know that I would ever do this race on my own, but with kids it was a blast. I loved seeing the look on Jay's face every time he got pelted. The worst part about it I guess was that I kept thinking that I was going to loose him. I still can't help being an over protective Mom that yells every 5 seconds, "Stay right by me! I have to see you at all times!"

To Jensen,
Even as I type this you are fighting me tooth and nail to go to bed. You need a drink, you are hungry, you have to go potty, your cheek hurts, you have a tummy ache, you need a hug...it NEVER ends. And no matter how late it is, you will be up bright and early at 6:00am. Luckily it has been darker later and I don't have the summertime 5:30 wake up call. You are so strong willed and I hope you keep that trait through out your life. I just know its going to come in handy one of these days. Your reading is coming along and even though it hasn't been easy for you, I know you are trying really hard. You are so so smart. Believe in yourself. You can do anything. You are my beautiful daughter and you are a daughter of God. I need you to know that so when you read this many years from now, you know that in every moment of life you have been loved. And even though everyday is a battle, it is molding the both of us into better people. We both become stronger, more patient, more understanding and more willing to sacrifice for our little eternal family. I love you as much as any mother could love. He is starting to know his colors and counting. He loves the song, "I am a child of God " and wants it sung every night. Every time we get in the car he wants a movie or Scripture Scouts or the mom and dad song (Our Wedding song). He has started sleeping with his baby every night. He has been chewing on his plugs lately so once those things are done they will be gone forever. (That makes me kinda sad.) He loves kicking balls and throwing everything.
