We had a love hate relationship with our AZ trip. First off we had to wait until last minute when we were going to leave. We were hoping for morning, but Randy couldn't get it off work. So we ended up leaving at about 8:00 at night. By midnight Randy was exhausted and I took the 12-5am shift. It was brutal. Randy drove us the rest of the way. We were so wiped. We went to Kevin and Jessie's house first. There we hung out with cousins, caught up on sleep and had some yummy food. Jeanna came into town to visit too. One night she watched all the kids and we were able to go out to the dinner with the other Bells and Martins. The bad part of the trip was that we were all just sick. Jenny had a bad really bad cough (which we made her wear a mask most of the time.) Cortland wouldn't sleep and was really whiny. (We found out when we got home that he had double ear infections.) Randy had a bad cough ( later known as bronchitis) and Jay started puking on his birthday. Which, one blow of the candles pretty much guaranteed we all were getting it. I think we ended up switching sicknesses. We gave Kev's family the cold part and they gave us the stomach flu. So it was awesome. It reminded me of when I was little and all the cousins got together and we all got chicken pox and lice. Good times, but I digress. It was so good to see everyone and enjoy the beautiful AZ weather. I just feel bad I was such a sick zombie the whole time.
