Trip to Albuquerque

We made a quick trip to Albuquerque for the funeral of my great Uncle Don. His passing was so hard on so many people. He was a great man. I remember him chasing us in the grass like he was a monster when we were little and buying us candy and soda. I remember how kind he was to others and how he mowed my grandmas yard for her every week without complaint. He treated us like we were his very own grand kids. It is really special to me that he confirmed me a member of the church and was able to be there to help bless Jamison and Cortland and even attend Jamison's baptism. He is in our hearts always. We saw cousns there that we adn't seen in 20 years. It was amazing!
While we were there we stayed at my Dad's house and enjoyed our time together as family. We went on a long walk and swam with cousins. We also had a super bowl party with some of the best food I have tasted in a long time.
Cassidee and Lacey and I were able to sneak away for a little girl time and took a snapshot in front of grandma Imy's old house. We were also able to go to dinner just us girls.
It was a long car ride for a short trip but so worth it to be with those we love most.
