After many trips back and fourth to Sprague, WA to assist our daughter who was working two jobs while her husband was working in Alaska, life seemed to be heading toward normal. After the football event, everything changed in December.

*** DECEMBER ***
An eventfull month that has been a challenge to our extended family and one for which we are very thankful for the prayers and support of family, friends, and strangers.
On December 1st, our Son-in-law Trevor and Grandson Brandon (age 13) are hit head-on in their car by a medically impared driver going the wrong way as they were returning to Richland.
Brandon needed surgery as did his father. Brandon for abdominal surgery and his father for hand surgery. Brandon was also bruised and had one fractured arm.
Trevor visiting Brandon in the Pediatric floor at Kadlec Hospital in Richland. Trevor had multiple injuries, his first surgery was on his left hand, the second would be on his right foot. Trevor's sister and father standing to the right.
A month or so before the accident at their church's garage sale, Brandon (who is a collector) bid on a small wheelchair (which he fortunately has not needed to use after he returned home)
Tom went home to get some tasks done for a couple of days and when returning saw these dramatic cloud formations while nearing Richland.
The first night after Tom returned there was this sunset in Margaret & Trevors back yard.
Both Trevor and Brandon came home after a week in the hospital. The other driver died in the same hospital the day they were released.
A large wooden ramp was brought by Jean's cousin to add to the smaller ramp at their house - Margaret testing it out with Trevor.
Trevor's Birthday Cake on 12-12-12.
Trevor & his dad built this chicken house - Margaret is planning to rent it out to three hen's as long as they lay eggs. I added the very old cedar shakes above the door, and did a little roof work due to 60 MPH winds.
Brandon the Sheik, Levi his brother and Margaret after Trevor had outpatient foot reconstruction surgery on his right foot on the 19th.
Required 12 screws and will be some time in healing
Brandon traded for these slippers after he went to their church's youth gift exchange
Showing off his staple marks after they were pulled. Note his new red cast.
Three ladies guide Trevor out of the car after a visit to the doctor - besides the inconvience of the neck brace, he has broken ribs and the left leg fracture. Trevor's family also came to help whenever possible.
