The Happiest Place On Earth

We just spent three glorious days in Disneyland with my family. It was so much fun! We worked the system using fast passes AND stroller passes so we were able to go on a billion rides. I think the highlight of the trip was taking Emery to pick out her princess dress. She was set on Sleeping Beauty's dress. She hasn't taken it off since we bought it- including the ten hour drive home. Miles was a champ and super easy. He just started rolling over from his back to his stomach but then gets ticked when he can't roll over again. Emery woke up in the middle of the night last night asking Collin where Snow White was then fell back asleep. I think it's going to be a big shock when she wakes up in her own bed tomorrow. I'm back.

Ok so it's been a year since I blogged last. Honestly it's been a year since I've really done anything. Im not sure if I can catch up on everything we've done in the past 13ish months so let's just tell you the big things. Collin and I spent our first summer in Utah together and something else happened... Let's see what was it? Oh yes I got fat and had a baby.

Meet Miles. He is now three months old and the best surprise we've ever received.

He is a little fatty and the best baby ever. Emery loves his guts and is a little too protective of him. The other day I was clipping his finger nails and he was fussing so she came over and told me not to hurt him and to give him to her. Got to love siblings right?

Emery is a crazy two year old. She loves princesses and dinosaurs. She is an adrenaline junkie and gives me at least two heart attacks a day. She talks non stop and is pretty bossy. We've been trying out the whole potty training thing and it's driving me crazy. If you have any tips please let me know.

Well I'll include some pictures and hopefully they work. I'm not saying you'll get a post from me every week. I'm just not that interesting. But I will try to do it at least once a month.

Beach Fun

Collin doesn't go to work until three so we always have plenty of time to go exploring in the mornings. One morning we went to the beach in Kenai. It was really cold but loads of fun. The tide goes way out and way in up here so that is why there is so much beach in these pictures. Collin was in heaven digging in the sand making his own little rivers. Emery tried eating it and then quickly realized it wasn't as good as it looks. We just made it to Kodiak Island this morning after an overnight eleven hour boat ride. I'll update more as we go!

Art City Day Parade

I made it back to Utah just in time for Art City Days. It's been awhile since I've been home for this so I lived it up. Chanel and Emery looked like sister with their pink jackets and piggies. After the parade we went over to Wes and Nikki's for a BBQ. I love summer!

Children's Museum

I spent most of June in Utah and had a blast! Collin went up to Alaska to spend the rest of the summer up there. One day Nikki, Cache, Cassidy, Quinlee, Emery, and I went up to the Children's Museum. It was a little out of their league, but we sure had fun getting together. The kids were all born within ten months of each other and are all about the same size. I love it!

North Dakota Zoo

This was our favorite place to go. Well that and Wal Mart. The animals were always active. It was fun to see them even though we saw pretty much the same ones on our drive out there. It was nice and small and a good place to go to get out of the hotel room.

I need to update

I really have so much to update on. My life is so exciting I just don't have the time to sit and write a post! Oh wait... I'm just lazy. I promise pictures and post are coming soon. I'm headed up to Alaska to spend a month with Collin on Monday and then we'll (Emery and I) be back for who knows how long. Can't wait to see me some moose!

We went to the park the other day. Emery LOVES wearing her sunglasses outside. Also she IS wearing shorts in these pictures, they are just the same color as her legs.

At this time last year...

One year later..

I guess today would be the day that I should sit in quite reflection by the window thinking about where I was on this day a year ago. Thinking of welcoming this little miracle into the world. But Emery is unraveling the toilet paper, chewing on phone charger, and dumping all of her clothes out of her drawer. I should say what a sweet disposition she has, but she was jumping and rolling around on my bed at two in the morning last night (she must have just been excited about her birthday). She has fire. She is curious. She is a lot like her dad, which means I should probably start a mailbox replacement fund for when she plows over our neighbor's at two years old. She is a lot like me in the fact that when you ask her for a kiss and she either pushes your face away or just makes the noise while leaning as far away from you as possible. So Emery Belle on this your birthday I'll chase you around, smother you with fake kisses, and pray that you took all of the energy from the rest of your brothers and sisters. Happy birthday darling.
