I have recently gotten a MacBook and begun using Logos on it. I'd be very interested in learning what limitations and workarounds have been discovered by Mac users here. I'm still a noobie to macOS, so I have a lot to learn. I did, however, notice an annoying difference: copying verses from the "Copy Verses" tool does not…
As per the title, when I turn on Use Internet I can select to not download new books but not able to prevent Logos from sending my notes and highlights to their server. In order to download new books it appears I must sync my private data with their server which is a bummer. Is this even possible to have these stored ONLY…
Hi there, How do I find Aorist Indicatives in a Second Class Conditional Clause in the entire NT? Please let me know if this can be done within a search panel or if this needs to be done in a "syntax" search document. If so, please give me the criteria. Thank you, Joel
See https://community.logos.com/discussion/comment/1220091#Comment_1220091 the 2022 list includes some resources shown only by id But when I try to update it, I get a longer list - much longer list … How could so many references get "lost"? is the concordance works cited list dependent upon my owning them and having them…
With a temporary license, the resource can be wish-listed from a search list, but not from its product page. Why? Shouldn't wish-listing be enabled with temporary licenses, to indicate an interest in making the license permanent?
The Concordance tool primarily exports to Excel which makes sense except when the element reported is Works cited. Please allow Works cited to be saved to Bibliography and be exported to Word.
Verbum-Logos needs to streamline its Liturgy of the Hours interface with an easy-to-use ribbon-setting function in order to navigate it more effortlessly for prayer. Once that's fixed, I'd also love to see an option to set a side-by-side linked panel with the Liturgy of the Hours that enables you to set either original…
The Study Assistant saves requests that can later be accessed for further review. Would it be possible to do the same for Search requests?
Just as with Collections, please add the printing/export facility to the Favorites list. Thanks.
Sometimes I want my commentary to be linked to my text in an A-to-A relationship (see screenshots), but I want to have the Power Lookup looking at only ONE of them, even if I no longer have that tab as the active tab. Right now, if I also set it to follow A as well, if I click on the other pane, it will no longer follow…
The text of headwords in The Lexham Analytical Lexicon of the Septuagint are tagged as "Headword", but not tagged as "Heading". Search Panel returns no results for Greek lemmas using the "Heading Text" or "Large Text" search fields delimiter. Only "Surface Text" searches work in the LALS. In a related resource, the text of…
Soon we will release the Saint Athanasius Academy Septuagint (SAAS) for Logos and Verbum. This translation originally debuted in print about a decade ago as the Old Testament text of the Orthodox Study Bible. English translations of the Septuagint (LXX) are few and far between, so another one is always welcome. In this…
By William Ballentine. ca 1807. Reprinted by Alexander Campbell in 1833. I don't have a pic of Ballentine, so put the title page instead. If you have a pic of him, it would be most welcomed. 7282.Treatise on the Elders Office.docx
Looking for some information about this book from those who have read/studied it. Specifically, I’m wondering, from which perspective this was written? I see that Dr. Bart Ehrman is quoted frequently in this book. So, my question is, is this book written from a more conservative vantage point or a moral liberal vantage…
https://www.logos.com/product/217127/biblia-ave-maria? is not English as indicated on the product page … it is in Portuguese
The Modernized Geneva Bible is still in the process of development. Only the NT has been released to date. I would love to see collaboration between Logos and Canon Press to eventually make the MGB (including an audio version of it) available within Logos. https://modernizedgenevabible.com
Routledge has a very interesting 8 volume series called Sciences of Antiquity. The volumes in Sciences of Antiquity explore how the ancients saw, interpreted and handled the natural world, from the elements to the most complex of living things. Their discussions on these matters formed a resource for those who later worked…
From the Amazon description contained on Henry Chadwick's work on this text: "Sextus's Sentences are a collection of ethical aphorisms which for centuries were read in Latin, Greek, Syriac and Armenian, by Christians from Britain to Mesopotamia. Who 'Sextus' was, and whether he was a Christian, is not certain… [T]he…
The Gospel of Christ Crucified offers a biblical reconstruction of the principal elements that make up the apostolic gospel. Assuming a first-century Jewish worldview, the apostles understood the death of Jesus primarily in sacrificial terms for the atonement of sins. In this way, their presupposed expectations of the…
Good day. I would love to see all of the Herbert Lockery All list books in Logos. They are a great resource for quick list reference.
I am not sure if this is best described as a bona fide bug, but I have noticed repeatable glitchy behaviour on the 'Calendar Event' insert under signals. Note that I have created a calendar event and set the date and time, When I either hit enter or select another menu, it appears as if the setting for the time has not…
In the past, I have been able to use CMG Media in Proclaim. I would go to CMG's site, click on the media file I wanted to add, select Proclaim as my desitination, sign in to my Proclaim account and bam - the graphics would appear in Proclaim. It is no longer working when I do this. Anyone else experiencing this or have any…
Is there a way to lock a service to prevent editing by others?
I was caught out by “Restore Presentation…” in Proclaim when our internet access was super slow and flaky. I used “Restore Presentation…” from a USB but was not aware that this added a copy to retrieve through File/Open. In panic, I noted “…successfully restored” but missed that the text started with “A copy…”. Can…
Within the slides… Why is there a bold and Italic button but no underline button? Where is it???
I finally noticed the "toast" notification after trying to comment on a post. My comment wasn't immediately visible, so I assumed it was something funky with my connection, keeping it from posting. Nope. It was "pending approval". There are likely now five variations of that one comment "pending approval". Let's see what…
