Day of Rest

Sunday morning seems to be the only day we don't hit the ground running!  I love it.  Slowly, as all my kids wake up, I drag them into bed with me to Snuggle.  I totally remember my mom doing the same thing!  I love it!  I wrap them up in my covers, and wrap my arms and legs around them and smother them for a good 30 minutes.  Thank goodness for a "Day of Rest"

Springtime Artwork

It is always exciting to me when Spring is in the air.  There are certain things that remind me that it is spring and we are coming out of winter hibernation.  One of my favorite things is Springtime Artwork on the sidewalk.  I LOVE IT!!!

Shower

Little Rosie is now big enough to shower with me.  It is such a cute sight...

Jack-o

My little Jack is a soccer monster! In his last game he scored 13 goals!  He is so fun to watch.  Pictures to come...

Here Kitty Kitty...

The cute little kiddo's that play at my house love to play "Family."  Back in my day we called it house.  I prefer their name much more.  A lot of times Ruby is the family kitty cat. (YUCK!)  I really don't like cats, or pets for that matter.  I have 6 people to take care of already, I don't need anymore.  Ruby will go around saying "Meow".  It is pretty cute.

Sadie has taken her to her house to meet her cat.  Ruby is in love, but I'm not sure the cat is...

Sleeping Disorder

This post has been a long time coming.  My sweet little Ruby is one crazy chick!  With the birth of her little sister she has been such a turkey about bedtime!  We will put her in bed and she will come out ATLEAST 30 times!!  No joke.  We have even had people witness the madness.  The funny thing is that she will come out and we will get mad and her, she will cry, we will put her back in bed, then she will come back out.  When she comes back out, she just walks into the room like she SHOULD be there, and that she won't get in trouble.  She will smile, walk up to Colin and look at his computer and ask, "What are you doing daddy?"  Repeated 30 times!
One night I asked her if she wanted a "Bare Bum Spank."  She smiled, said yes, and pulled down her pants for me!!!  Craziness

On the off chance that she doesn't come out, the routine is a bit different.  She will come into our room around 2:00 am and ask to play with my phone.  I, of coarse, say no, and Colin puts her back in bed.  One night this happened, and Colin put her back in bed.  Thirty minutes later we hear this pitter-patter of fast running feet.  When I sit up to see what is happening, I see that she is running out of my room with my phone!  She just darted in, grabbed my phone, and ran out!!  Any advice out there?

Needless to say, this is what is happening as a result of our nighttime routine...

***Last night she was up till 11:30 with her antics, awake this morning by 6:45, and begging for a nap at 11!!!  What do I do?

RaspberryJam

Image
There is nothing like homemade raspberry jam on some toast, especially when the weather is stormy and cold:)  Good thing I made some today!  (not so good for the diet, especially when you coat the bread with a good layer of BUTTER) Delish...Nutrish

Rosie Posie

Only Jack can get her to laugh like this!

Costco

I haven't been to Costco in a while.  The truth is that I have hired this girl to go do that for me.  The benefit is that although I am paying her, I still save $$$ because she will only purchase what is on the list. I don't do that.  CASE and POINT:

Today...I went to Costco for some fresh fruit for a shower on Saturday.  I left with fruit PLUS a new soccer outfit for Jack, a tutu for Ruby, Sweet Baby Rays BBQ Sauce (YUM!), chicken dumplings(?), and muffins.  SO, $100 later!  Yikes!  I am telling you, getting someone to do the shopping for you saves you $$ and sanity.

City Creek

I have mentioned that my little Ruth is a shopper! She insisted we hit City Creek on opening weekend! It was crazy, but fun. We ate at the Nordstrom's 6th and Pine restaurant. It is a new FAV!!

Necessary Evil

Sometimes I feel that blogging is a "Necessary Evil." I love the outcome and the journal that I have each year, but sometimes it just piles up!! The bigger the pile the harder it is to get me to sit down and do it! YIKES!

Stay Cation...

We have done a lot of traveling this year already, and have some fun things planned for this summer, so we stayed home for Spring Break! It was a great time.

These are the only pictures I got to capture the week of fun. Dad spent a lot of time with us! LOVE THAT ALWAYS!!!

Henry Walker got to go to the Jazz practice facility to play some ball. These little Jazz Fans loved their time there! The men did also!

"Is there anything I can help you with?"

...This quote is often heard in my home! I know you are all thinking that I must have the most wonderful and well trained Hubby, well, think again! It actually comes from my 7 year old Hank! (I do have a great Hubby). He is always aware of me and what I am doing for him or the others. He will offer to help me constantly. His dad was just like this when he was younger too. He is such a good boy with the MOST sweet and tender heart. Colin and I hope that the world will not beat it out of him.
Hank is a HUGE BYU fan. I have no idea how?!? Colin had the opportunity to take him to meet Bronco, but something came up at work and he couldn't go. Bronco sent Hank this football anyway! Hank is on cloud 9...

Image
It reads, "To our biggest fan Hank, Bronco Mendenhall!"
He is a well deserving Cougar fan! He has to withstand our tormenting him 24-7!

Good Girl!

Ruth is a wonderful girl! She is such a help to her mom, and her siblings. She is sweet and kind, she is smart, and she is beautiful! SO...Colin checked her out of school and took her to Cali for a day! They went to the American Girl doll store and to Knott's berry farm. They had a ball. Ruth said the "Highlight" was Nordstorms! She is such a Wright!

If you ask me the REAL reason they did this is because Colin LOVES to play really hard, cause he works REALLY hard, and this was a great way to play with one of his favorite people on this planet:-)
