Every time we walked to Vons, the kids had to stop and look for snails.  We could always find hundreds of them!  They weren’t even afraid, they would pick them up and just watch them for as long as they could.  I know, gross, but boys will be boys and girls will…well, do what their big brother does!

We took some family pictures at the beach, my favorites were of the kiddos holding hands.  They were so cold, but they just couldn’t resist getting wet.

Later, I took our Little Guy to the beach to get wet all the way.  We had fun, we built his first sand castle, with a mote that he never could actually fill, since the sand kept soaking it up.  He thought this was so funny that every time he got water, what he had just put in, was gone.  He chased the waves and hunted for sea shells, he laughed when we saw a squirrel there.  We even saw a huge, dead jelly fish.  And after searching for crabs, we dug a hole in the sand and found a nest of baby crabs.

We go to go to Legoland this trip and that was such a blast, even better than the last time, since our Little Guy (and Daddy) got to go on more rides this time.

We even got to see a 3D Bob the Builder movie.  Our Ladybug didn’t care for the glasses, she didn’t understand why things were trying to pop out to her.

The kids had a great time riding the rides, checking out all of the really cool oversized Lego models and just playing around all of their super fun play areas!

And at the end of the day, our Ladybug just couldn’t stay awake any longer and took a nap on the bench of a restaurant.

On day 1 of our trip to San Diego, we went with Grandma and Grandpa to the Strawberry Fields.  We picked a whole bucket full of strawberries and got covered with red.  Our Little Guy was a pro at picking and eating, I’m not sure he really even added much to the bucket.  And our Ladybug was having a hard time pulling them off of the vine, she just decided to eat them with out even removing them.  Yeah, it was fun!  Later on that afternoon we went to the beach, just because the kids had been waiting for so long to see it.  The water was freezing, but that didn’t stop the little guys from dipping there toes in there.  I guess I have two little water babies.

This little one was born to shop, I just have no idea where she gets it from!?! ;)  Every time we go anywhere, she is always putting whatever she wants in the cart and I’m always having to secretly put stuff back.  Here she is in a Target on our way to California where she refused to take off her new glasses.

Our Little Guy came up to me while looking all over his body and asked: “Mommy, where’s my finger bones?”  I showed him that his finger bones were in his fingers.  Then after talking for a while about bones I got out some wrapping paper and laid it out, wrong side up, and traced the kids.  Then, I let our Little Guy copy a skeleton onto his body and I did the Ladybugs and  voila…the kids had their very own skeleton.

In the past, Daddy had been a little hesitant to take our Little Guy on a Father and Son Campout for our ward.  But this year, since he’s been involved with scouts and all the camping trips that are apart of that, he felt a bit more comfortable this time and went for it.  He was actually looking forward to it.  As was our Little Guy, who could not stop talking about it or telling everyone in Target that he was going (while showing them his very own bag of marshmallows).  He thought it was so neat that only the boys could go!

All in all everything went really well and they will probably be regulars from now on.   (Fingers crossed for a Mommy/Daughter spa trip!)
