The Grinch!

Cooper's school started a drama program this year.  He actually had to audition for it at the beginning of the year!  Their first play was Friday night.  How The Grinch Stole Christmas!

 Cooper was a Who down in Whoville.

 He had a solo during "You're a mean one, Mr. Grinch"

 "You're a bad banana with a greasy black peel!"

 Max the dog pulling the Grinch back up the mountain.

 And Cooper also had the line "the Grinch's small heart grew 3 sizes that day," which is my favorite line from the movie!

 So the Grinch brought him back the first present.

 The cast made a receiving line in the cafeteria.

Gymnastics meet

Emma's second gymnastics meet was today.  She really improved since the first one!

 She did such an awesome job on the bar!

 She scored a 9.5!

 Emma placed 1st in the bar event!

 She was super excited!

 She placed second in vault and floor, and sixth in balance beam.  Um, she fell off twice! Better luck next time!

 And she came in 3rd all around.

Merry Christmas from the Slye Family!

Thanksgiving

We travelled down South for Thanksgiving vacation this year.  We left really early Wednesday morning so we'd have plenty of time to visit with MawMaw and PawPaw.

 The kids got to open their Christmas present a little early!

Thanksgiving in Atlanta

Thursday morning we drove to Atlanta to Mark and Kyle's house.  We went to Kennessaw Mountain and hiked to the top.

 After our hike Griffin and Whitley showed up!  I had big plans to get pictures of all the cousins and even a group shot of everyone, but that just didn't happen. 

 And I wanted to get a picture of Emma Whitley and Whitley Claire with Alyse Whitley, but that didn't happen either.

 Whitley was ready for dinner!

 The kids had their own table.

 And after dinner Mark and Cooper pulled the wishbone to see who would win the Iron Bowl.  Mark won and Alabama won.  Yay!!!
