EASTER

We had a very busy Easter!  We dyed our eggs (all 18) on Friday and Alex was very excited about this!  He had lots of fun decorating them.  His face looks dirty but it was actually painted with bunny rabbit nose and whiskers at school that day, but it was rubbing off....  :)

Alex got up REALLY early to see what the bunny brought him!  You can tell by how PITCH black it is outside right here.  Spideman paddle ball was in his basket.  It has since been laid to rest....RIP paddleball.

He found all the eggs and really had fun looking!

Alex got an AWESOME Easter basket package from his Grandma Pam!  I let him chow down on some treats before breakfast!  Thanks Pam!

Alex and I made a "bunny" cake...he was so excited to put all the jelly beans on.  I think he and I ate more than made it to the bunny...they sure were yummy!

We took our bunny cake and bird nest cookies over to my friend Jen's house where we had a delicious Easter lunch.  Then Alex went on another egg hunt and loaded up on plastic eggs w/ candy inside!  Thanks Jen, that was really fun and really sweet of you!

TEXAS, Part II

Rounding out our trip to TX, we went to the Walker County Rodeo with Grammy and Papa which was tons of fun.  Alex and Callie rode all the carnival rides together (it was only $20 each for unlimited rides!).  We also dyed Easter eggs at the ranch and enjoyed delicious cupcakes for Callie's birthday!

Callie was ALL OVER this ice cream.  It was on her neck, too.  Kelsey and I couldn't wipe fast enough.  Of course, Alex ended up not wanting his so I ate it!

I love this picture of Callie!  she looks like Cindy Lou Hoo!

Kelsey and I got a good laugh at this one too, she held up the egg alright, just like I asked her to do!

TEXAS, PART I

There are way too many good pictures from our trip to Texas (I took 284!) but here is Part I of those I chose for the BLOG!  We had so much fun staying at Charlie and Kelsey's house in College Station, and then at the ranch afterwards.  Alex and Callie didn't skip a beat; the picked right back up where they left off at Thanksgiving.  We can't wait to be in Texas again soon for more fun!

Image
Alex and Callie traded costumes...Callie was wearing Ironman and it was so cute!

Image
Doesn't get much cuter than Macie Jane!  She is just so cute I could eat her up.

Jungle Jim treated us all to breakfast at Cracker Barrel.  It was a little stressful trying to get a picture with all of the great grandkids and him but he hung in there while Kelsey snapped away w/ her good camera!

Image
I took all three kids up to the farm from College Station Thursday afternoon and my dad and Susan met me there that night.  I really enjoyed my "Aunt Carrie" time with my beautiful nieces and Alex.  We had lots of fun!

My sweet little boy...always thinking of mommy.  He melts my heart every day...

Macie Jane and I rode around everywhere on the Ranger together while my dad and Susan drove Callie and Alex on the 4 wheelers.  We enjoyed our drives and I got so many cute smiles and giggles from her.

It had rained A LOT before we got there which made it really fun for muddin' on the 4 wheelers and playing in the puddles.

Image
Then I turned Alex and Callie loose in the biggest puddle ever after they donned their bathing suits.  I gave them each a plastic red solo cup.  Cheapest entertainment EVER and they loved it.  They really got crazy the longer they were out there...not caring about the mud or being messy at all.  (Stay tuned for videos of this).

Uncle Charlie took the kiddos fishing and they were so excited at catching a few bass.

I love this picture...just two cousins up to no good...scaring off the fish!  :)
You can also tell that Callie is going to be so tall; she's only 3 now!

DR. SEUSS STORY TIME

I am behind on Blogging.  I will catch up with TX and Easter pictures during the next week!!

Alex and I went to Dr. Seuss story time (FREE event) at Target on 25 February and it was really fun.  All the kids got Lorax bags full of fun stuff, goodies, and snacks.  The Target volunteers read Dr. Seuss books for two hours and the kids could sit and listen or color their Dr. Seuss coloring pages/books.  We stayed a lot longer than I expected...Alex was really having fun!  Thanks TARGET!
