Sci-fi battle royale game

NetEase, the brains behind the popular Rules of Survival, has released a sci-fi battle royale game called Cyber Hunter that has fast-paced third-person action gameplay. It pits 100 players against each other to see who will survive the battle arena. Like other games of the same genre, it uses early match deployments to any location on a large map. It also has a shrinking active zone that funnels players toward a final battle that will determine the ultimate winner. However, unlike other battle royales, this game offers new gameplay elements, such as tactical use of vertical climbing on almost any vertical surface.

A mix of other BR games

Cyber Hunter is very much similar to Fortnite. Other than the number of supported numbers of players, the former also borrowed the latter’s building system. However, you won’t need to hit trees and rocks with a pickaxe for resources. There is just once resource called Quantum Energy, which you can use to build anything. You can collect them automatically by stepping near it—although, there is a limit to what you can build. Rather than building structures inside the game, you can bring three preset structures into battle with you.

Cyber Hunter also forces players to take into account vertical traversal systems, much like in Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It has a gameplay system for parkour movement, fast vertical climbing, use of air gliders, and jet-fueled hoverboards. Players will also have many weapons at their disposal. They can use long-range riffles or chuck in a barrage of grenades. They can also make use of the game’s vertical traversal system by climbing a building to get a height advantage

Cyber Hunter comes with special futuristic weapons that have non-standard use-case scenarios, including healing shotguns. It also has extensive character customization options, allowing you to transform your in-game avatar into a unique contestant. In addition to solo mode, the game also features team play modes. Overall, it is an exciting game. It is hardly unique since it borrows elements liberally from other games. However, the way it combines these elements makes it a game unlike any other.
