We love to get out of Pocatello as much as we can- It was so much fun!! We ate lots of yummy food and did a lot of sightseeing and laughing! Here are some pics from the vacation!

At the top of Willis (aka SEARS) Tower. They built an area made of all windows so you can stand out on this ledge and look down to the streets. Scary!!!

Catching up

I figure since nothing very exciting goes on in our lives, if I update every few months or so there will actually be something to update on!!
Dustin graduated in May!! Wahoooo! He got his bachelors in Nursing so he is now
Dustin Tew, RN

However, that will only last for about a year because he is now applying to Med school! He takes the M-Cat tomorrow! So we are excited to get that over with, not sure who is MORE excited! Dustin has basically studied every day since January for it, and I am commanded to not speak to him anytime while he is studying (getting kind of old ). haha I will literally get a phone call while on my way home telling me when I come in the house to not talk to him so he doesn't get distracted!! It is pretty funny and sometimes frustrating- BUT I always remind myself how grateful I am for a husband who is a hardworker and knows what he wants rather than the alternative. He is the best!
I have one more year of Nursing school and CANNOT wait to be done. ONE MORE YEAR.
More recently, I just got back from a girls weekend in Phoenix w/ my sister in law. We stayed at a friends who is living there. HEAVEN. It was high 90's the entire time we were there! We slept in every day...would go lay by the pool all day....and do whatever we felt that night. It was the most relaxing vacation ever. Then we came home to weather in the 40's= horrible.

ImageFirst night, we decided to hit up some clubs!! This is us dancing on the cubicle in the center of the dance floor...notice we are the only ones in there dancing! haha

While I was on my trip, Dustin got to go dirtbiking, which he has not done for the last 4-5 years! His family loves dirtbiking & thats what he has grown up loving so I was so happy that he was able to go!

Last item of business....we are headed off to Chicago in a few weeks!!!! My brother & sister along with their families both live there! My brother is finally moving back home and they need someone to drive their car home for them. So we are flying out there so spend a few days with everyone & then driving their car home & we CAN'T wait!!

Other than that- we are working all summer long and boating whenever possible!

slow-mo

I am a little behind on this thing....BUT better late than never! Well over Christmas, Dustin had a sinus surgery and had his tonsils taken out! I am glad to say his lugie's have decreased about 75% and I am pleased! About a week after his surgery we went to San Francisco!! I don't know if I mentioned in any earlier posts but going to a 49ers game was his Christmas present! We went with his brother Tyler and his wife Erin! We spent New Years Eve there as well!ImageImageImageSince then, our lives have been filled with school, and trying to ski as much as money allows!!Image
ImageLastly, this last month my niece Kayt was admitted to the hospital for pneumonia. She also got pleurisy and had to have a chest tube put in to remove the fluid around her lungs. It was so hard to see her in the hospital. I think the hardest thing was seeing her hooked up to different things and her personality gone. It brought me to tears every time I went there. It was amazing to see how much love you have for someone. My brother in law had some moles a week previously and he kept stating how he would rather have cancer than to see her go through this. Anyways, I had a lot of time to think during this experience. Situations like this make you realize how dumb some of the things are that people stress out about and let take over their lives. I got to thinking about some situations in my life where I have seen some people get so offended over something and hold onto it forever. It made me so mad thinking about it. How could you hold onto something someone "did" to you or "said" to you when there are so many bigger things that really matter. I could go on forever. But this experience just made a big impression on me. No one can offend anyone. People you love, or don't for that matter, are always going to disappoint you or say things that you think are rude. But being offended is a way you choose to react. Don't let people offend you, get over things, and focus on what really matters. Don't know if anything I just said made sense, but it made me feel better.

OK. Done venting. Happy Monday!
