Vacation, Part 1
It's a little overwhelming to fill you all in on the past two weeks, so I'm going to write a few entries about our vacation.
Two Fridays ago we took G on a plane for the first time. We were stressed out about it because we hadn't bought him a seat and knew we would be working with a newly crawling kid in a space about the size of a shoe box. Jen tends towards claustrophobia and I get panic attacks on planes, so with our mental health compromised (more than usual) we set to work to entertain the baby for the 6 odd hours from Boston to Salt Lake, hoping hoping hoping that he would sleep. We had great luck in our neighbor, a baby loving gay man named Kevin, who took us under his wing, hopped out of his aisle seat whenever we needed it, got us a blanket, and went for a long walk when we had to change G's diaper. We love Kevin so much. Graham was entertained by the people and the noise and made no complaints the whole trip.
We arrived, got our car, and drove the hour to our splurge: we had rented an apartment in a large cabin above the Sundance resort. It was expensive, but here's a shot of the view from our front door.

And here's one of how cute Jen and Graham looked in the mountains.

Graham loved to dine al fresco.

And hang out outside. We had awesome squirrel and bird visitors.

So, the setting was fantastic; even better, my family came up a lot to barbecue and hang out. I'll get to the meeting of the Wilsons in my next post....
