Anne in the mountains

Saturday I went with one of my old roomates, Emily, shopping down in St. George and so I left Anne and Dan to have some daddy daughter time. Anne kept insisting that she wanted to go to the mountains, so Dan took her there. These are some pictures he took. I thought they were cute.

Hank's First taste of cereal

Image
He was being so funny when I decided to try feeding him cereal for the first time. He loved it. Only half of it stayed in his mouth but whenever I would stop to get a bite of my own breakfast he would scream until I would give him more. I am very glad that he likes cereal. Anne didn't when she was old enough to have it, so I had my doubts with him. YEAH!
Image Here is Anne eating her pancake, or cake as she likes to call it. She was sad that she didn't get to help feed Hank. Maybe next time Anne.

Hank

Well, Thursday Hank had his 4 month check-up. He is now 15lbs 11oz, 26 inches long. I can't believe how big he is. Of course I had to go back and look at Anne's measurements, she was 15lbs exactly on her 6 month appointment, and 25 in long. He isn't doing too badly though. He is the 60th % for weight and 85th for height (lets hope that his height keeps on the same path). I felt so bad for him when they had to poke him for his shots. I was talking to him to distract him and thought maybe he wouldn't even notice or pay attention but as soon as they poked him he started to cry. I am just glad I didn't bring Anne along again. I learned from my mistake and asked Aunt Kyra to watch her. When I got to Kyra's house to pick her up, she had a make-shift bib on with a brownie in her hand and mouth. I'm pretty sure she was glad she didn't come with me too.

County Fair

Image

Here was Hank enjoying himself. He was watching all that was going on. (Notice the goat in the background, well as I was sitting there, I felt something pulling my bag (on the side closest to the fence) yep you guessed it, the goat was trying to eat it. I had to yank it away.)

For Labor Day, we went to the county fair. We thought Anne would have fun, especially seeing the animals there. We didn't bring any cash with us and Anne was a little disappointed that we didn't take her on the carnival rides. We kind of felt bad, especially because she was on Dan's shoulders looking at all of the things around her and spotted the merry go round. She kept leaning over and giving kisses to Dan saying, I want to ride the horsey dada. We probably would have let her if we had brought some cash. OH well, right after that we took her to see the animals. She loved that. She was a little scared at first but by the end we had to pull her away. It was so cute the way she was acting toward the lamb and the goat. We also saw a bunch of chickens, some rabbits and a couple turkeys.
