Cole is One Week Old!

Today Cole turned one week old! This past week has been so wonderful and words cannot express just how blessed we feel to have our little boy. Cole's hospital pictures came in the mail today. I thought they turned out great!

My mom has been such a great help since we got home.  She has been washing clothes, cleaning, etc. (plus giving Cole a bottle or two and loving on him as much as possible).  We appreciate her help so much!

Headed to our first Dr. appointment at Vestavia Pediatrics.  Cole had a little bit of jaundice, but thankfully it's getting much better and the Dr. isn't concerned.

Sorry it's been a while since I've posted but all you mommies out there can understand :)  Of course we have TONS of pictures but I only have enough time to post a few. 

Cole has been such a GREAT baby!  This has been the best week of our lives.  He sleeps all the time...we have to wake him most of the time just to eat!  Our first night home, he slept 6 straight hours.  We are now waking him up to eat instead of letting him sleep that long.  This morning, he woke up at 6:00am and just kicked and "gooed", for 20 minutes....I kept watching our video monitor and waiting for him to cry but he always wakes up in a great mood.  

We are just smitten over our little boy!!!!

Happy Birth-Day Cole!

Cole arrived today at 4:33 pm!!! He tipped the scales at 8lbs 7oz and is 20 1/2 inches long. We are all doing great. I ended up having to get a c-section done because I just couldn't dilate pass 4cm and Cole couldn't fit through my pelvic bones either. As you can imagine we are all exhausted. We will post more pictures tomorrow when I have some strength.

We're about to head out to the hospital, but I wanted to post one final picture of my big ol' belly before it's gone! I'm officially 39weeks 5days. This picture is mainly for my brother because he hasn't seen his "big" little sister in a while and wanted to see just how big I've gotten! I can't wait for him to fly in this weekend though :)

Oh, did I mention that my belly actually measured 42 weeks at my last appointment..yikes!!!

I'm still having contractions but they aren't getting closer together (I'm stuck at 6 minutes apart). I'm also still dilated at only 1cm and Cole's head isn't where it should be...he's being stubborn and not dropping to the position he needs to be in (no matter how much walking I've done!!)

Assuming that I don't go into labor in the next two days, I will check into the hospital on Wednesday night and the Dr. will induce me first thing Thursday morning!! It's such a relief knowing that we will have Cole in our arms this week! Please keep us in your prayers and we'll be sure to post pictures soon!!!!

48 hours later.....still no baby :(

Well although my Dr. thought I would be in labor by now, I regret to say that I'm blogging from my living room. I'm still having irregular contractions (anywhere from 5 minutes to 15 minutes apart) and barely dilated 1 cm. It seems Cole just wants to stay baking a little while longer. If Cole does decide to make is arrival this week or weekend, we will surely post. Otherwise, I'll update everyone on Monday after my Dr.s appointment. In the meantime, Dal and I are trying to patiently wait (although the patiently part is quite hard to do!) Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers!!!

38 weeks...good news!

I had my Dr. appointment this morning and the stress test showed that I am contracting. I already knew that I was contracting all day yesterday (Sunday), but they were really inconsistent. The test showed that most of my contractions are around 6 minutes apart but some of them were a little longer....so needless to say, they are still irregular. I'm just waiting for them to get more intense and a little more consistent or for my water to break now! My Dr. said she wouldn't be surprised if I was in labor in the next 48 hours!!! We're keeping our fingers crossed, but I don't want to get my hopes up either, ya know!
