We finally have the kids in big beds. They were so excited, but if you notice there is a sleeping bag on the ground for Preston. Daddy told him he had to refrain from picking his nose for 3 days since we didn't want him to ruin his new bedding with bloody noses. He was a good sport and was thrilled when he got to sleep in his bed too. I love seeing my angels sleeping in their new beds.
David got us a patio set for our anniversary and made me dinner. We are really enjoying the peaceful dinners outside.
I found some scooters and a pair of skates for Claire and Preston at Yard Sales. Claire on skates was the highlight of my day. First off they made her look so big I couldn't belive it. I couldn't help, but laugh seeing her wobble all over the place. She was out of control! The scooters are a better fit for now.
I threw in a picture of my pregnant belly for ya!
Our trip to the berry farm turned out to be and ideal summer day. It was a week day so we pretty much had the whole place to ourselves. First we checked out the farm animals and the kids jumped on a moon bounce. Then David tossed the kids in the hay bales. Then we found a giant bucket of corn to play in. This was a blast. The kids loved us chasing them and we took turns getting buried. Under a shady tree they had a big sand pit with buckets and shovels. David and I lounged on the benches nearby. Then it was the anticipated tractor ride to the strawberry fields. On the way to the fields we described the perfect type of strawberries to pick and told them to stay clear of the white ones. To Preston's satisfaction all of the ones he found were perfect. He would say, "Daddy this one is perrrrfect and quickly shoved it in his mouth". That kid ate his fare share of strawberries. It was hard work for this pregnant mama to scoot up and down the rows. Claire was my helper, but they both ended up with David because I was too picky for them in my strawberry selection. The day was heavenly.
Aunt Diana came for a week and a half just after our move and during David's finals. it was great to have her help and company.
David turned 30 this year! He is at his prime. I had someone put a poster on his locker at school. The girl next to him signed it so he thought she made it for him. Next time I'll be sure to put Love, Your Wife
Our first week at the new ward was different with primary first and sacrament last but the kids adjusted well. We were all pretty tired by the time picture time came around but one thing was for sure- Claire LOVED the dress Grandma King made for her!
