Family Pictures

Image Image Image Image Image Thanks to our friend Danielle Hone we finally did some family pictures. I'm not going to exaggerate, the prep almost killed me. I know it shouldn't be a big deal, but all my lady friends out there know the darkness that goes on behind a pretty picture! I know my husband loves me because he put up with all my picture talk and still smiled on the big day. My suggestion, don't wait eight years to get your act together, it adds so much pressure! To find the location I looked up scenic areas in Richmond, packed up the kids, and grabbed the GPS. I went places I had never been before. I found a neighborhood I fell in love with. It took me to my happy spot. It was gorgeous, with cobblestone sidewalks, rounded brick walls, and spectacular mansions. In this neighborhood is an old English tudor. Literally. The owner took down the walls in England and reconstructed it in Virginia. Anyways I could babble all day. I hope this inspires you to go somewhere new! If anyone in VA has any go to places let me know. On the big day Danielle followed us there and she made it a very pleasant experience. The kids did so well for her and it also helped that we bribed them with a skittle between shots. i was so happy with the results. I love my family. If you are in the Virginia area I highly recommend her. She is a sweetheart and very talented. http://www.daniellehonephotography.squarespace.com

Yes one is easier

Friends always ask me if it't easier to have one babe this time. Yes. Yes. Yes. I love it. I love it so much I'm already excited for the next one. My twins were happy, sweet, fun babies and I wish I got this time with them, but they need each other. It makes me smile, I can't think of one without thinking about the other. They have done great with Rhett. More than I could hope for. Claire is in love with him. She baby talks to him, Oh Rhetty Rooski you are so handsome, oh I just love your smile... and on and on. Preston thinks Rhett is funny. I love my kids. I asked the kids to nap today and Pres wanted me to lay by him, how could I pass. He fell asleep with his arm around me and I felt so special. I was singing and putting on a show for the kids while I put them in the car. They were laughing, which only makes me sillier to get more laughs, by the end Claire said, "oh man". She was smiling, but wow am I already embarassing them! Rhett at 3-4 months. Seriously he owns me! I love this kid. Image ImageRhett's BFF Hannah Image Image ImageOkay you can laugh because I do. He wasn't sure about the flash. Image Image

I guess I better do part 2

Preston caught on real quick this year, run to the next house with lights! I'm sure he was thinking it was the greatest night of his life. Too bad that most of that hard earned candy is still in the coat closet. They forgot about it the next day. We went to Famous Dave's before going to a Halloween party. Kids in costume got free kids meals and let's face it, it was really for us. We did get our own entrees. I was planning on sharing with David because I am that cheap, but lunch prices were reasonable. Poor David goes hungry all of the time. Never. We only share once in awhile. Claire is drooling over the ribs because she likes meat that much. A boy in our ward said he was gratful God created animals so we could eat them. Maybe they should get hitched someday. He is a cutie. Image Image Image Image Image

Halloween Part 1

Claire wanted to be Tinkerbell then Preston decided on Peter Pan. I was very excited to make my chubby guy Smee. I had a vision of his sweet midriff with the belly poking out. He pulled it of beautifully and was a great sport. The glasses were just for pictures and they were icing on the cake. My mom made the boys hats while she was here and I happily added the sideburns. Claire loved playing the part and looked darling. Preston was more excited to get candy. He was confused as to why people were asking him if he was Robin Hood because to him he was clearly Peter Pan! Halloween Party at Armour House

Our county has fun activities for the kids. A lot of them are at old historical buildings. They did crafts, games, a scavenger hunt and at the end they went trick or treating at the house. I love the Buzz costume. I didn't have their halloween costumes ready so we wore play clothes from around the house. I felt like such a trooper because I really didn't feel like driving across town and getting the kids ready on time, but they needed to get out of the house. It was a success. Warm Fuzzies

Image My parents came and brought the kids fuzzy blankets upon their arrival and the cuddles followed. Claire was so happy to be in Grandma King's lap again. I almost cried seeing the love between the two of them. Preston got right down to buisness and wrestled with Grandpa. It sure is great having grandparents around. Image Image
