EXCITED!

Image This is one of Reagan's new tricks (finally caught on camera)...the EXCITED face! Now that she knows how funny she is, she will get 'excited' on command. It never gets old! Apparently this is an inherited trait; there are pictures of Daniel making the exact same face at about this age. He taught her well!

Build-a-Bear Look-a-Like

ImageReagan got a build-a-bear from her cousins, Sarah and Bethany, for Christmas. She likes to put the hat on herself, so we thought that it would be funny if she wore the jacket, too. Hope that you get a good laugh; we did!

4 Generations and A Rocking Horse

Image Four Generations of Smiths: Papa-D, Reagan, Mamaw, and Daddy Christmas Day is spent out in Oliver Springs with the Smith family. It is always a wonderful time to catch up with cousins and visit with family. Reagan was the youngest Smith at the gathering this Christmas. In the second pictures, Reagan is riding a handmade rocking horse from one of Papa's patients. She is quite the cowgirl! We had another wonderful Christmas this year!
Image

Christmas Morning

Christmas morning is spent with Daddy's family for breakfast before traveling out to Mamaw Smith's house for the day. More wonderful family traditions...
ImageReagan got to sit at the big table and enjoy a big girl breakfast with the family. As you can see, she feels right at home and enjoyed herself quite a lot.

ImageThis was one of Reagan's many gifts Christmas morning. She is still a little confused about who the baby stroller belongs to; she wanted to take a ride for herself. She had a blast ripping through paper, pulling off bows, and playing with her new toys.

Christmas Eve

Image Family tradition on Christmas Eve is to spend the day with Gabby's family for food and gifts. We also attend church with our families for the candlelight service at Central Baptist. This was Reagan's first experience of both traditions. We enjoyed introducing her to our family Christmas! The first pictures is of our little family in front of the Christmas tree at church. This tree has been decorated at the front of the church as long as Daniel and I can remember. The second pictures is of Daddy with his two little girls, Reagan and Sarah (Reagan's cousin). Reagan had a blast playing with her sweet little cousin. This is what memories are made of. We love our family!

4 Generations

Christmas with Gabby, Dado, and Uncle Michael

Last night we opened presents with mommy's family (Dado, Gabby, Uncle Michael, mommy, daddy, and Reagan). Reagan is quickly catching on to the idea of unwrapping gifts and the excitement of a new toy. ImageDaddy took this picture over the balcony while we were sorting through gifts.
ImageOooooo... a new puzzle! 'See mommy!'
ImageNow Reagan can help mommy clean the house. She is not a big fan of the real vacuum, so this was a bit of a joke. She thinks that the fake one is not so bad.
ImageJust being silly, we all put bows in our hair. Usually Reagan will take anything out of her hair just a fast as we can put it in, but I do not think that she knew the bow was in her hair. She wore it the whole time we opened gifts.
Image

Sleepy Head

Image A few mornings ago Reagan took a nap in our bed while we got ready for the activities of the day. She is wearing her funny little monkey pjs. I could just kiss her sweet face right off. She is so precious early in the morning. The second picture was taken just after she woke up...check out the bed head!
Image

Christmas with My Cousins

ImageWe enjoyed dinner at Calhoun's with Grammie's family on Thursday night to celebrate an early Christmas. This was Reagan's first meeting with many of her cousins. She had a wonderful time!

Reagan's 1st Birthday Party

We are back in Knoxville with all of our family for the holidays...Yippee! Today we were able to celebrate Reagan's birthday with some of our family. We are so glad to be home and to share this special time with our loved ones. ImageYummy more cake! Reagan is starting to think that every weekend is cake time... too much sugar!
ImageThis is Reagan and her sweet cousin Sarah! They missed sharing a birthday by 34 minutes (Sarah turned 7 on Dec. 1, Reagan turned 1 on Dec. 2).
ImageBows, bows, and more bows! Reagan is not a big fan of things in her hair or on her clothes. Eww... get it off!
ImageThe party is over. Reagan is relaxing with her uncle Kev after all of the fun!

Merry 'Early' Christmas

Because we will be at home with family for Christmas, we shared gifts with each other tonight. This is the first Christmas Reagan can truly participate in the happenings of the holidays. She is learning all about ripping open the packages and digging into the excitement of new toys. She is going to have a blast when we get back to Knoxville. ImageHere Reagan is giving daddy a special gift just from her.
ImageAnother phone...She loves to talk to her people on her play phones as well as mommy's real phone. We added to her collection giving her a chatter phone.
ImageThe favorite toy of the night was her new baby doll. She lit up with excitement when she saw it for the first time; daddy could not get it out of the package quick enough. She gave the baby hugs, kisses, and sweet holds all the way up until bed time. She is going to be a great big sister!

Garden of Lights

Image Image
Tonight we took Reagan to see the Christmas lights at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens (included is one picture from the light display). She was in complete awe, as seen below! The lights were impressive and we had a wonderful time together as a family. What a blessing it is to share the holidays and all of the wonders of Christmas with loved ones!

Little Miss Priss

Image These pictures were taken this morning before leaving for church. Reagan has quite the personality now and enjoys showing off for the camera, as well as her mommy and daddy. She is such a joy! In the second picture, Reagan is loving on her cup of milk. That is right, she is so big now. She has done extremely well with the transition for bottle to cup and formula to milk. She is quickly changing from baby to toddler.

Portraits (part 1)

ImageA week ago today, I took Reagan for her Christmas/ 1st Birthday pictures at JcPenney. It was not a good day for her as you will see in the pictures (I have included two of the cuter pictures taken). We had another session later in the week that went much better; keep a look out for those pictures to be posted soon. If you would like to see more of her pictures from the first session, go to

and enter 'Elizabeth Smith' in customer name. Select the 'click here' option and enjoy. The cake pictures are quite cute!

Yummy! Yummy!

The cake was a BIG hit!
ImageTo start Reagan was very delicate with the cake, taking small bites and making almost no mess.
ImageThen there was a mess... and some concern about the 'stuff' on her fingers.
ImageYou go girl; dig in!
ImageThis is a picture after Reagan put the whole plate in her face. She got messy quickly.
ImageThis is a birthday girl who truly enjoyed her first birthday and the cake, too!

My First Birthday Gift

Image Today is Reagan's first birthday! When she woke up this morning we had set up her new kitchen in the living room. She was so pleased! Now she can cook just like mommy. She is quite the little pretender. Her favorite part of the kitchen is the phone (she is all girlie girl).
Image

Christmas Wonder

Image
Although today is not Christmas, it is the first time Reagan has seen a Christmas tree. Oh the excitement! This morning she was unable to decide if she wanted to play with her new birthday toy or the tree. I believe that she will have rearranged all of the ornaments before Christmas arrives.
To explain the Christmas PJs... we took Christmas card pictures this morning. Look for yours in the mail.

All I Want For Christmas Is...

Image my MOMMY (or Daddy)! Today was Reagan's first visit with Santa. She was not impressed! Although she did not seem to enjoy the big event, we had a good giggle and have a funny picture to show her later.

Headshots

Here are a few pictures of our sweet Reagan as she posed for the camera tonight. She know where we keep the camera, so she often gets it out for us. What a ham! We hope that her smiles make you smile! ImageWhat a happy little girl! Reagan is full of smiles and new expressions each day. We have having a blast watching her grow!
Image'Hey, look at me!'
Image'Thhhhhhhppppppppp!'
