Back to School Feast
Daniel was in charge of our Back to School dinner this year. It was cowboy themed. The boys had a blast and kicked us off to the school year with a family party.

1660 miles back to South Texas
With all of our many miles from Arizona to Utah to Idaho to Nebraska- be opted to make our trip back to Texas a 3 day journey versus 2.
We were able to stay with Anna Lee in Greeley our first night (Bill was gone on a work trip). Our second night was in Olton, Texas at Anna Lee's parents home. Both stops were so much nicer than staying at a hotel and welcoming to us and it helped Maggie have a safe place to spend the nights outside.
We arrived back in Bishop to find our car and house secure and well. Thankfully Makayla had come and turned our AC down to 79 the day before so we weren't walking into a 100' home like we had a year earlier.
It was crazy to think that we were back for our second and final year. With busy schedules ahead, summer had officially come to a close too soon.
Between May 15th and August 7th our truck covered just shy of 10,000 miles. What a summer.

Out and back to Nebraska
We were able to secure a spot for our horses to winter in Nebraska. Which is a huge blessing of not buying hay and having to move them around. We ended up with a 36 hour window to get the horses there and back, with 23 hours of that driving. Melissa had taken the boys for us, another blessing, so they wouldn't be in the truck longer than necessary since we were beginning the 3 day trek to Texas in a couple of days.
The horses were happy to be home in a pasture they new, with endless green grass. Daniel and I had a great road trip, writing down dreams and goals and how much we miss Nebraska.

Adventures in Utah
Daniel left after the 50th as he had two more weeks to finish up his internship. The boys and I played as much as was possible before our return to Texas.
Hockey and learning to roller blade.
Trip to Union Station
Swinging morning and night
Catching up with friends
Splash pad
Riding steers- releasing balloons at Stone Rodeo
Bridal Shower for Cheyanne
Anniversary #9- marked by a date with my boys to Blue Bird.
Riding our horses non- stop and giving cousins ride continually.
Cinch was lucky enough to do sleep overs at Bo's home and Dalton & Emma's. Later Melissa took both boys for a few day for more cousin time.

50th Anniversary
July 17th marked my parent's 50th anniversary and we were happy to celebrate with the rest of my family. We reenacted parts of their wedding day. A temple session in Logan, new family picture, dinner at Maddox Lodge and cake and dancing at the house afterwards. It was a great celebration especially fun for the grand kids who danced the night away long into the night. Josie had gotten each couples "song" which added an extra touch as well.

Dalton Annual Camp Out
We spent 3 wonderful days camping with Daniel's siblings up at Twin Lakes. We were up at very high elevation, the world was green, quiet and it was wonderful.
I'm so grateful we have started this tradition to come and sit away from the world and be able to visit with everyone at the cousins play from sunrise to sunset together!
Grandma & Grandpa Krieger came up for the second afternoon and evening. Grandma had injured her knee and it wasn't well enough for them to camp with us, but we sure enjoyed their company.

Kids Triathalon
The boys competed with part of their Baxter cousins in a triathlon. It was a blast and the boys did amazing!
Chauncey did well, especially just learning to ride a bike a couple weeks earlier. He did his lap swim, 1 mile bike ride and 1/2 mile run amazing. He was frustrated when Olilyia (a full year older) passed him at the end.
Cinch went at the same heat as Hazel and Bella and had a blast. He and Hazel got a little crazy on the bike ride and went the advanced route, but still came in to finish strong.
It was a great adrenaline rush morning for the boys and they can't wait until next year.
