Potty Training

So I was in my kitchen making dinner, when all of a sudden I hear Makenzie saying "I go pee pee on toilet". Sounds harmless, except for Makenzie is not potty trained, and she was in the toy room. With the worst in mind I go and check on her. And sure enough, there was Kaitlyn encouraging her to go pee pee on the 'toilet', pants down, and diaper on...phew!

Sleeping Sisters

I absolutely LOVE these two girls. And I love seeing the crazy positions they fall asleep in. I thought this was just too cute ok I am a little biassed.

Turning 2

And Turning on the Drama.

For Makenzie's 2nd birthday we kept it simple and had a small little family party and invited Owen and Alyssa to join us at the Kangaroo Zoo. Kaitlyn and Makenzie absolutely love it there! Although it usually takes Kenzie awhile to warm up to all of the big slides and bounce houses.


We all had a lot of fun (although it is a little hard to tell from Kaitlyn and Makenzie's faces) I love this place because the adults can have just as much fun as the kids. And despite being 8 months pregnantand having to sit out, it's just as fun for me to watch the kids play too :)

Hi Alyssa!


I think Dan may like this place even more than the kids. Every time we go he usually ends up going down the slides a few times with the kids, then he is off making his own kind of fun (turning a play place into a competition zone) So of course Dan and Owen turned the Kangaroo Zoo into an obstacle course and raced each other down the slides. Here they are in action. I think they did this for an hour straight!

After everyone had exhausted themselves at the Kangaroo Zoo we went back to our house for some pizza, Cold Stone ice cream cake, and presents. While trying to blow the candles out Makenzie put her face a little too close to the candle so we decided to give her a little help.
