After 3 issues of Brave and the Bold, 3 Annuals, and 261 issues, the Justice League of America called it quits in Justice League Of America #261 (April, 1987), with cover by Luke McDonnell and Bill Wray.  But, after the events of the Legends mini-series....the Justice League was reborn in Justice League #1 (May, 1987) with a cover by Kevin Maguire and Terry Austin, with both stories written by J.M. DeMatteis, though aided in later issue by Keith Giffen.
