together forever

Image
Weddings are a happy thing... especially ones like this one.  It was so great to see Ricky and Wendy walk into the sealing room and to witness the spirit that was in the room as they were sealed together for time and for all eternity.  There was a room full of happy people that is for sure.   The sealer was President Steed, and he had so many wonderful things to share and teach.  I wish I could have been talking notes, as I am all too forgetful these days.
So glad these two found each other.  They really go great together.
The day was full and lovely, and so were the people we spent it with.  We fell in love with Wendy's family and enjoyed our time with them immensely.   It was really a treat to be able to see and spend some time with Eric and Carol Ann's children all being together.  We hardly ever get to see Kristen or Erin anymore!
A great day!

Look at that beautiful smile on Angela!  She is so pretty!  Dont ask how we got her to smile for the camera... but I hope to see more good pics of her in the future!  :)

Erin and Lee with Mother and Marv and Corey and Rod.

 Our favorite overseas couple!  :)
Image
Wendy had lots of family here for the event... there are 9 children in her family and all were present!  And the 26 grandkids were all there too!  Awesome!

Rick's side was not so numerous, but we were spunky!
Image
Taylor and Brad later told me that sitting and talking to Lee was a highlight of their day.  I was glad I had snapped this photo.
Image
 Lauren and Kyle.  Cute couple.
Image
The girls with Dad and Uncle Corey... lots of laughter!
Image
We all made new friends and Leah was no exception.  She and this little cutie were having fun much of the night.  Leah loved carrying her around and playing big sis.

Image
I have so many pics of these two girls through the years... fun to see them together again... a bit older.
Image
Stealing a pic with the bride and groom at the reception before lots of people came. :)

Image
The cousin table!  Fun times for these guys!

Image
Precious mom moment.  This was right after they had cut the cake, and Carol just walked up and gave Ricky a kiss.... it was so sweet!

Image

Image
Mother thought only 4 of her children would be there... but since Vicki and Joel showed up, they increased the family ranks.  :)
Image
 awww... such a moment.

Image
The teen scene went outside to decorate the car... imagine that, approved mischeif!

Image
Love the action shot of catching the bouquet.  The girl in the middle who caught it is one of Wendy's neices.
Image
I so enjoyed these 3 ladies... we had to take a photo.  :)  Loved getting to know them some and hope to know them more over the years!   Tammy, Becky and Carol.  Great women!

Image
Cleaning up was definitely most entertaining...

Oh and these two boys... didnt see much of them... they were always off somewhere having fun together in their own world!  :)
Image
Erin and her extremely giangantic muscles :) entertaining the kids with rides on the plastic sheeting that had been the drop ceiling.
Image
Found the mother of the bride dancing with her grandbaby after the reception!
Image
Kristen... had to snap this one, could be 10 years before I get another opportunity!  So great to see her!
Image
Carol seemed to have a great day!  If there were glitches I surely did not see them.  Wendy's family was amazing and efficient, they know how to get the job done!  The day was beautiful.
Image
For me it ended wonderfully with hearing Carol's story of her sweet little boy who came to their family through another!  He is every bit as beautiful as these eyes show!  Hearing his story made him even more precious in my heart.  Thank you Carol for sharing.

Happy Forever to Wendy and Ricky (sorry, Eric just sounds like your dad.)  We love you and are so glad we got to be a part of your special day.

pancakes or manual labor??

pancakes or manual labor?  which one would you choose...?  Well if you ask Jared, nothing could entice him to miss the annual Christmas tree pick-up.  His dad always helps out with it, and so for years he has been riding along.  This year the primary pancake breakfast was the same morning, Jared thought it silly that I would even ask which he would be participating in.  He loves loves loves hanging out with his brothers and his dad.  It really could be number ONE on his top ten favorite things to do!  Can you tell?????

Image
Rod is a sweet hubby, on their last load of the day they stopped by the house and let me snap a couple pictures.  I love him.  - Not just for that obviously, but he is always doing little things like that, just for me!

And if I hadn't seen the purple tree myself, I might not have believed it... some people do interesting things.  Just sayin.

Confetti Mania

We love the festivities with the Weaver/Lavine group on New Year's Eve.  Apparently we aren't the only ones.  They call it a party, but really it is a big confetti war just waiting to happen.  And when it happens... Oh baby, watch out.  The party is for ages 16 and up and it was fun this year to have so many of our fun youth join us.  Although Rod might say differently since they all like to have confetti wars with him!
This year the theme was anything sports.  The costumes ranged from every sport you can think of, including golf and chess... to referees, sports fans, etc, etc... people get quite creative I must say.  This was fun theme... wonder what next year will bring.

Brian won the costume contest... he had a button on that said, "Chess is a sport" and played the nerd role all night.  What a crack up!
Image
Here is the party-throwing gang!!  they always do something fun together.

Image
We saw Randy over in the corner with NO confetti on him, so we helped out!  Rod with the confetti and me with the camera!  We love you Randy!

Image
 Favorite neighbors!!!

Image
Love the time we get to spend with this gang too... now that Becky and Terry live across the street, its multiplied how much we get to see them.  :)

Image
Running into old friends is fun.  There are always a few that I am surprised to see.  This is Elizabeth, and I think the last time I saw her was 10+ years ago.  It was great to catch up.  She was so happy!

Image
Rod looks like Rambo... watch out!
Image
I love this pic because it is so like Lorraine... always quietly serving someone.  She is amazing.  She worked her tail off all night... had to go in the kitchen to say hi!  Lorraine is one of those people who make life better, just because you know her!
Image
Aaron stood in front of Rod with a double fisted handfull of confetti, and Rod gave him the "I dare you" stare.  Aaron is not afraid of much!  He dared!   :)

Image
The boys were kind to befriend other girls who came and did not know a lot of people... wow.,.. way to take one for the team guys... ummm...  With these cute girls, who wouldn't?

Jed ends up in the trash can.

A handful of the youth-ites that were there... They had a great time!

The midnight balloon drop.  Love this pic!  The balloons have money in them.  it is fun and loud!

Image
Cleaning up, someone started sweeping confetti onto Aaron,,, then others joined in, before you knew it he was completely buried!  I had him stick his hand out in the photo above.  If you make it big you could probably see it.  Then we counted to 3 and had him jump out... it was pretty awesome!  (Below)

Happy 2011...  We brought it in with fun, friends and lots of food!  Hope you did too!
