1st place!!

I'm so proud of Rykie! He won 1st place at the Karate tournament yesterday. He is so amazingly talented! On the way home I heard him whisper to himself "Don't mess with the guy who won first place." I'm so proud of him! Love him so much!!

Happy 6th Birthday Zaylee Sue!!

Zaylee Sue is six years old! Last week we celebrated her birthday and this weekend we had her party with family and friends. She had a blast! For her birthday she asked for an "Inkoo". She got what she wanted and more. Thanks everyone who came to help us celebrate!

Easter 2013

All of my kids colored Easter Eggs this year. Zaylee was just the only one who sat long enough for me to think about grabbing my camera. After they got done with the eggs, she sat there naming each one. She asked me to "meet" her new friends. She held each one up for me telling me their name and asking me to take their photos... I couldn't resist :). Image Image Image Image Image Image

Rag quilt

I'm trying to replace Zaylee's favorite blanket. It's not so much a blanket anymore. It's more like a scrap of material with several arm holes. I admit that I'm not the best at sewing. I've watched a few online tutorials and am going to try my best. Wish me luck! Image Image Image

Winners of the Pinewood Derby!

The boys rocked the Pinewood Derby! They took 1st and 2nd place! The man who managed the race said he'd never seen two cars come in so close before. At first they even wanted to award them both with 1st place. That is how close their times were! They were both beyond excited to say the least! They worked so hard for weeks making their cars. Ryker made his red and Daxon's was blue. They designed them, helped Britt cut them out and sand and paint. It was such a fun activity, and I really loved watching them race. Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image

Even more Toothless

Zaylee has now lost both of her front teeth. How cute is this? She pulled out the first tooth on her own but the second one was a different story. She refused to pull it out and said she wanted it to stay. She left it until it was pretty much hanging off on it's own. We made her pull it off before bed one night because we were worried she'd swallow it in her sleep. Image Image

Toothless...

Look who lost a tooth? She pulled this one out herself when a friend of mine offered her a dollar! How brave is that?!

Ice Skating

I don't know how it happened, but I had today (yes a Saturday) off! I can't remember the last Saturday I didn't work! It was time to celebrate by having fun with the family. Britt and I decided to take the kids Ice Skating. I had heard of this little ice rink nearby and we went to check it out. Daxon and Rykie were very excited and got out there and skate. Zaylee refused. I decided that instead of a "snow bunny" she is a "lodge bunny". She sat drinking hot chocolate and hanging out with Britt and I. We had fun watching the boys skate. Rykie skated the longest. In fact, the rest of us ended up waiting inside for him to finish skating. Afterwards, we took the kids to dinner and then headed home. Dax was so tired he put himself to bed a half hour early! We had such a fun day hanging out together. I just love days like this!   Image

Glad there was a railing for them to hang on to. Image

Zaylee's new bedspread

Please excuse the photography, I took these photos from my phone. I made Zay this bed skirt as part of her Christmas gifts from Britt and I. Then on Christmas day she opened up her gifts and found her new bed spread and matching pillowcases. She was very excited and so am I to have her bed finally done. I'm still trying to sew together a new blanket for her but this will have to do until it's finished (might be a while lol).
