Happy Birthday Taten!! 4 years old.

Taten loves airplanes...so this year we had a airplane birthday party. The invitations were airline tickets. We played pin the pilot on the plane, searched for planes like air traffic controllers, had an airplane flying competition and hit an airplane pinata. The flight included dinner service of hamburgers and hot dogs

Helping Dad wash the car.

I had to capture this image of Dave washing his truck with the boys. Dave can be a bit of a perfectionist...family trait. So I am not sure that Dave had as much fun letting the boys help wash his truck as they had helping or I had watching. I say this because he still took the truck over to the car wash for a final rinse to make sure he washed off all the extra soap on the truck from the boys "helping". So cute. I love how our boys love to help Dad.

Flight 93 Memorial

When Dave's parents were here for a visit we took them to see the Flight 93 memorial. Right now there is just a temporary memorial with pictures and you can look over the crash sight. But this year on September 11 the Memorial is expected to be completed. Here you can see the pictures of the individuals who died on that flight and read their last words to their families. How would it feel to know you are going to die? We spent some time at this site. There was a feeling of reverence there.

Trip to Baltimore with Grandma and Papa.

Dave's parents came for a visit. We met them in Baltimore and saw some of the sites. Including the aquarium, Fort McHenry, Camden Sports Museum and the Science Museum. Here are a few pictures from our trip.

Happy Birthday McKenna!

Happy Birthday to our little angel McKenna. She would have been 5 this year. We celebrate every year with ice cream cake and letting go of pink and white balloons. This year Dave sat down with Taten to look at McKenna's pictures in the scrapbook I made. It has been a couple of months now and Taten mentions baby kenna almost daily. Wanting to know where she is, how she died, whether is is grown up or still a baby, is she with Jesus... I try to answer all the questions the best I can. McKenna has been close to my thoughts nearly all the time with this pregnancy. We are expecting a little girl and I just want to call her McKenna even though I know McKenna is with our Heavenly Father. I believe though she watches over us.
