We had a great (but very long) father's day! The girls gave Danny some hiking accesories and a new X-Box game (he wanted it!). We were up and out by 9am to catch the ferry over to the Olympic Pennisula where we were off for our first family hike of the year - finally!! We took a trip to Dungeness Spit - I know it sounds weird but it's a beautiful place! The trail is actually a narrow piece of land all along and out into the beach so it feels like you are walking on the water! You can catch glimpses of all sorts of wildlife! It sounds amazing, right?!?! Well we didn't get to see it today :) We got to the beach and began walking only to discover that Layla was deathly afraid of the noises coming from the waves!! Who knew?!?!?!? And Ella was not thrilled with the rocks in the sand and about 2 mins into the "hike" she decided she needed to be carried :) Luckily we were pretty prepared for anything so we just laughed and headed to our next spot . . Hurricane Ridge, It was a beautiful drive and the summit was even more amazing! The girls actualy enjoyed this spot because there was still snow to frolic in! We were 5,240 feet up! We were due to go out for a great seafood dinner but didn't make it home from our adventure until 7pm (when the girls are usually in bed) so Danny was sweet enough to take a rain check for later in the week! It was a great family day - just Danny and his ladies!!
Layla's first ferry ride!

Ella LOVED it! She kept screaching, "we're riding a boat!"

Daddy and his girls!

The Brindisi babes :)

A shot from the ferry ride! We really do have some great
scenery in our area! I am always taken aback!

Look at Layla's face :( She hated it!!

This was my fav shot from the day!
Layla was ok once we moved away from the beast!

On our way to Hurricane Ridge - Ella was leading the way!

Majestic! Only through God can this be created! I took about
a million photos of almost the same spot! Pics will never do it justice!

Layla didn't really venture off her blanket!

Ella and daddy in the snow!

I hope all you dad's out there had a wonderful and relaxing day!!
