Results - Finally!!

Danny got his tests results in the mail over the weekend - and he passed all 3 so far!! It was a welcome relief considering he wasn't too optimistic about one of them!! He is going to try to take the last 4 in the next month! I am already planning the celebration when he gets that last "pass" in the mail :)

Christmas Morning!

I didn't take a single pic Christmas morning! Instead I had our video camera going so I could be in on all the action as well :) We had a wonderful morning together! The girls slept in until 7:30 (they aren't old enough to wake up at 4am yet!) and they were a bit overwhelmed with everything! After Layla saw Santa had filled her stocking with candy she was no longer interested in opening gifts! She just sat and ate twizzlers and Ella opened up most of the presents! Santa brought Ella a dollhouse and of course, a guitar! Layla got a ball pit to play in which is too fun to watch them in! If you have been to our very small place you're probably wondering where all this is going - I have NO idea :) I think the new baby is going to have to sleep in a closet!! As always, the girls were flooded with fun toys and gifts! I hope all of you had a very Merry Christmas and got to spend it with loved ones and here's hoping 2009 has many wonderful blessings in store for us all!!

Fun with Grandma & Grandpa

My mom and dad made it in safe and on time Thursday afternoon! They are staying through this week and if you can believe it, my camera hasn't been out too often!! Here are a few I've taken so far . .

Future AU Kicker on board!

I've felt the baby move on and off but today he/she has kicked it up a notch! Goodness knows Auburn could use a good kicker and I think I've got one brewing :) It was so strong and consistent all day I was sure Danny would've been able to feel it!I've been feeling good - nothing that I can't handle, atleast! Thanks to the holidays, I finally got myself some maternity clothes so now I actually look pregnant - not just a lady with a beer gut! I'll go for my next appt in 2 weeks and then I'll schedule my ultrasound for next month to find out what we are having!

snow, snow and more SNOW!!

Overnight Saturday our little area got 7 inches of snow on top of what was already on the ground!! It snowed ALL day here yesterday . . I feel like I am back in Kentucky!! Luckily we have yet to lose power - others have not been so fortunate in the area so I just keep saying a prayer! Danny tried to make it into work this morning but the buses aren't running well so he may try to work from home or go in later. We took the girls out to play in it again yesterday . . Danny ended up having to carry Layla in the pack because the snow was up well over her knees and couldn't walk in it :) Ella is loving it now, though!! We've stocked up on groceries and wood and are just staying in and staying warm! I'd really ask that everyone keep my parents in your prayers! They are flying in Christmas afternoon and we can't quite tell yet if they'll be able to make it or not?!?!?! As much as I want them to be safe I REALLY want grandma and grandpa here for Christmas!!

Miss Eleanor

Image
Ella had her 3 year check up this week! She is doing very well - hitting all the appropriate milestones, etc . . She's now a whopping 40 lbs and 40 inches - putting her in the 95% for weight and height! She is now using the adult potty - no more toddler potty - YAY! If I could only get her to sleep in her bed than we'd be set to start a new with #3 :) We did find out she has a latex allergy, which was a bit scary to me, but she's doing fine! It comes equipped with bling :) A MED ID Bracelet and an Epi Pen! I know it could be worse :) Her speech gets more clear and more funny everyday!! I don't feel like I'm talking to babies all day anymore - she can definitely hold her own in any conversation now! And yes - she does talk back - she's quite a little sass when she wants to be! Sound familiar mom and dad?!?!? She continues to be the joy of my life and one of the funniest people I know!

Snow day!

We got a pretty nice snow storm here last night and all today! Danny stayed home to play in it with the girls and I . . . it probably also had to do with the fact that he couldn't get a bus downtown :) It is very cold and looks like we are going to be hit with some more on Saturday and then possibly again next week! I would LOVE a white Christmas - just as long as my mom and dad can fly in OK :) Ella actually enjoyed playing in it this year!! Layla looked more like the lil brother from Christmas Story - "i can't put my arms down!" After she was dressed and we were about to walk outside she was giving me the look of death and grunting at me!!!

She had a pretty hard time walking around in her boots!

Birthday Girl!

It's hard to hear but Ella is singing "happy birthday to ella" - she was doing it throughout the entire day :)

Blowing out her candles!

Opening Princess Aurora!

I especially enjoy the way Ella talks to the doll :)

For Nana & Poppy . .

Ella is 3!

Ella turned 3 today! We had a nice quiet day at home! The pics are just of her opening her presents, I couldn't get her to look at me long enough to get a decent birthday shot - maybe tomorrow once the chocolate cake has worn off!!!! It was a Princess Aurora theme - from everything to books, the movie, and a doll - which was the big hit (thanks grandma & grandpa)! Her "big" gift from Danny and I was a new art easel which she went to town on! She loves drawing houses now :) Look out Danny!
Thank you again to everyone who sent cards and presents . . I know she wouldn't say it on the phone but Ella has loved them all :) She is actually sleeping, as I type, with her princess balloon . . I am going to have to finagal it away from her!! She told me tonight "mommy, i had so much fun at my birthday"! She's such a sweetie!

Church and snow!

We woke up to about an inch of snow this morning! What a lovely gift for Ella's birthday! It is bitterly cold here but always beautiful to look at and this year we still have power :) Getting ready for a slick ride to church this morning . .
