Oooh that bit where Clark's voice changes slightly when he goes into "Superman mode."

I did not expect to see so many other heroes in this (teaser) trailer 👀 I'm definitely intrigued so far.

David Ayer Defends Push for ‘Suicide Squad’ Director’s Cut: “Judge Once You Have All the Information”

“Honestly I have no idea if WB would ever release my version,” Ayer wrote. “And I have to defer to James and the studio to manage it as they see fit. It’s not something I control. I just believe it would be a lot of fun for those who want to see it, to see my cut. If it’s not for you, I totally get that. We all have different taste and likes and dislikes.”

ngl I would be interested to see the AyerCut at the very least because I always prefer to watch director's cuts where available since they're supposedly what the director's vision for the movie is.

Krypto the Superdog Will Appear in James Gunn’s ‘Superman’: He’s a ‘Not-So-Good-Good-Boy’

“Krypto was inspired by our dog Ozu, who we adopted shortly after I started writing Superman. Ozu, who came from a hoarding situation in a backyard with 60 other dogs & never knew human beings, was problematic to say the least. [...] I remember thinking, ‘Gosh, how difficult would life be if Ozu had superpowers?’ – and thus Krypto came into the script & changed the shape of the story as Ozu was changing my life. What better time to debut the not-so-good-good-boy Krypto than #AdoptAShelterDog month.”

There's something about the way Joker and Harley go down the steps at the end of the trailer that's weirdly satisfying. I think it's because of how they sync up with the beat of the song.

James Gunn's 'Superman' Gets an Out-of-This-World Update

The newly unveiled logo confirms what many fans had speculated: it draws direct inspiration from the iconic Kingdom Come storyline.

James Gunn’s New Superman Suit Debuts: See David Corenswet as the Man of Steel in New Look at 2025 Superhero Film

The new Superman suit has officially debuted. As filming on James Gunn‘s “Superman” (formerly “Superman: Legacy”) continues, the writer-director shared to his Threads account a first look at star David Corenswet in costume as the Man of Steel.

The image, for some reason, is giving me "AI generated." I don't know how I feel about the suit itself—looks kinda baggy—but I'll reserve final judgment until I actually see it in action in a trailer. What do y'all think?

We've got a teaser trailer y'all! Just based off of this, it looks like this version of Harley is a fellow inmate and not a psychologist?

Still not sure how I feel about the fact that this is going to be a musical, but I'm gonna be watching this in theaters either way.

Some additional scenes that weren't included in the first trailer! It looks like Arthur's baby also can communicate with sea creatures just based on the sonar wave effect going on. (Though sometimes they tweak stuff just for trailers, so who knows for sure.)

That moment where it looks like Atlanna's hugging both Arthur and Orm 😭

Where Have All the DC Fans Gone?

That means offering consistency and not changing directions every time some critics and certain segments of fandom become blinded by nostalgia or throw tantrums when the story isn’t told the way they wanted it to be. That means decisiveness and letting filmmakers do more than simply adapt the familiar, but challenge what we think we want from these movies and what we think we know about these characters.

An interesting essay on the status of the DC films.

During the early days of the DCEU, friends and I discussed how we thought it shouldn't try to compare itself to the MCU and should instead try to be "director driven." It's easy for me to say that DCEU should've stuck to its guns and done its own thing, but I still think that's the best way forward.

Official trailer drops later this week!

In other news, thanks to everyone who voted in the poll re: community coverage. Looks like it's a consensus to expand coverage to include all live-action DC movies. It'll take a bit before I can work on the community rename, but I'll tweak the community profile to reflect the change.

Hi, everyone!

With the shift from the DCEU to DC Universe, I was wondering how the members feel about potentially expanding the community's coverage.

I'm inclined towards expanding the community to include all live-action DC movies, but I'd like to get your input before making any decisions. Please feel free to comment below if you want to discuss with the other community members.

For those who're following the comm, you're probably aware of how I feel about Ezra Miller as part of the DCEU (TL;DR I'd prefer they recast Barry Allen).

Because of that, I debated whether or not to create a discussion post for the movie at all. After some thought, I've decided to still make one, with the caveat that no discussion about Ezra Miller or their performance is allowed. If you would like to host a discussion about Miller on your own journal, please feel free to link to your post in the comments.

There are other talents in and aspects of the movie that we can focus on, and I think we can still have an interesting conversation about it.
