Pictures to come....

So I don't even know what's happened since the last time I posted anything...we've been busy though!! The most exciting thing that's happened in the past week is our travels!! David left last Saturday to go to Tampico, Mexico to do dental work there....two days before he left, I decided that I didn't want to be by myself for 8 days, so I booked a flight for me and the girls to Georgia to see my sister Cheyenne and we left on Saturday as well. Very last minute and out of character for me! My other sister Sienna was so proud of me for being so spontaneous:) We had so much fun playing with cousins and visiting with each other! I will post pictures as soon as Chey sends them to me (hint, hint). It was wild and crazy with all of the kids (we were managing 5 kids, ages 4 and under), but we sure had a good time. Travelling with 2 kids by yourself is a challenge though! The girls were really wonderful, but it is still a little crazy. Getting through security is the most stressful part with everything that you have to do....and the workers are seriously Nazi's....I was so over the airport security workers when we left Atlanta...I pulled a little attitude with one of them because she was being so mean. After I snapped at her I think she felt bad because then she was overly helpful :). Anyway, since we've been home, we've just been trying to get back into normal life here. We went and picked strawberries with some friends on Thursday at a local farm and that was really fun. I'll post pictures of that too.... other than that, life is just normal I guess. David gets home tomorrow and we are so excited to see him! I didn't realize how much he helps out around here.
Just a couple cute pictures of the girls...Elsie loves her little Bumbo seat...she looks so cute in it because is just magnifies her chubbiness.Image

I am so terrible at blogging lately!! I know I have been needing to update for a while now, but just haven't really been in the mood and we have just had too much going on lately. From dentist appointments, to doctor appointments, to card swap, to recipe exchange, to food group, to church activities, to home projects, to who knows what else, life is just crazy!! One week I seriously had something kind of big going on every day, it was exhausting. But I wanted to post some pictures from this past week. My family came into town so we enjoyed spending time with them and showing them the sites here. We also blessed Elsie while they were here so I have some pictures of that as well. It was sad to see them go! Maia and I kind of had a rough day when they left. Maia kept crying for her "nana and poppy" and couldn't figure out why they had to leave. It was so sad. It's hard being so far away! I don't realize how much fun it is to be around family until I spend time with them! Anyway, here are some pictures from their visit...
First things first...we had to go and see the Falls, of course!
ImageI love this picture (below)...even though Maia is blurry, it just totally shows how she is--full of spunk and energy! I swear the girl never walks--she RUNS!!
ImageAnd then we did the Palmyra thing...
ImageMaia posing at the Smith farm...
ImageSweet Elsie...I kind of feel like so many of the pictures I have of Elsie are of her confined in her carseat! But she is so happy and content that she usually just stays there and we just transfer her from the car to the stroller and back again!
ImageA cute picture of my mom--I love her so much!
ImageThis one of Maia is so funny..if you look closely, she is holding a little doll...Maia had to stop and take a break so she could "feed her baby." Can you tell we have a nursing baby in our home?!
ImageThen we had Elsie's blessing...David's mom made Elsie's blessing dress. It turned out beautifully! Thanks Grandma Barbara! And Megan made her beautiful bow...too bad she wasn't here to take some pictures of the big day! Instead you get an amateur attempt at a photoshoot (don't judge them too harshly Megan:)
ImageElsie loved the material of the dress and wanted to suck on it constantly! We had a hard time keeping it out of her mouth for a picture.
ImageImageImageImageWe went to the park to play and to feed the geese...here is Maia and Uncle Ryken.
ImageMaia and Poppy..she loved waking him up every day...I'm sure he loved it too:) There's nothing like a 7am wake-up call when you are on vacation right? But no matter what, he was always ready to play when she ran down the stairs to see him!
ImageImageI had to put this one in (below) because of our outfits. I just bought Maia's at a garage sale a couple weeks ago and when I pulled it out to put it on her, she said "Like yours Mommy," and then she went to my closet and wanted me to wear mine too.
ImageAnd then we just enjoyed spending time together! Here is Aunt Seri and Elsie..Seri sure loves all of her nieces and nephews!
ImageMaia and baby sister....Elsie looks almost as big as Maia in this picture..what a chunk! As a sidenote, Elsie did weigh in at 13 lbs. 6 oz. at her 2 month check-up. She gained 5 lbs since birth!! And that put her into the 90th percentile for weight. She's not far behind with her length..87th percentile for that.
ImageThe last picture before they left...so sad. Maia and I both cried when they pulled out of the driveway! Thanks so much for coming family, we love you so much! You are welcome to come back ANYTIME!
