Go Utes!!

After the Utes game last Saturday, Dale and 2 of our neighbors sprayed red U's on about 6 of our neighbors' lawns that are BYU fans. So that no one would know it was them, they decided to spray their own lawns too. That plan backfired and they woke up to Blue U's and Y's. Boys will be boys!!!

Gourmet Girls + Twilight = FABULOUS!!

My friend Cindi started Gourmet Girls one year ago. We meet together once a month, bring a yummy dish that goes with our theme for the month and recipe cards for everyone. There are 11 of us. We eat, discuss our recipes, talk, and have a blast. It is the best night of the month. This month was game night. I made Avocado Egg Rolls. (They were so yummy). And to make it even better this month, went to the midnight show of Twilight afterwards. It was fabulous. Good food, good movie, and even better company. We had so much fun and I loved the movie!!! Thanks Cindi for starting Gourmet Girls and giving us all something to look forward to each month.

Trick or Treat

All of my family came over to our house for dinner and trick or treating on Halloween. I made homeade spudnuts and rootbeer. They were yummy but a lot of work.

Amy, Jill, and Cindi hosted a fabulous party. It was such a blast. Dale is Slash, I'm Cruella Deville, Rylee is Dorothy, and Mason is the Lion.

Every year we carve pumpkins with Dale's family. As you can see, it has become a religious ritual at our house. We absolutely love it. Everyone tries to find the best patterns. (I think we may have too much time on our hands.)

Farewell Summer, Welcome Winter?

We have had such a busy summer. We are sad to see it go, but we gladly welcome winter at our house! Who needs fall? We were so excited to see the snow Sunday. I've been a slacker blogger lately. Rylee started preschool which she loves, Mason misses her dearly. Dale has been playing lots of softball and flag football. And I have been having lots of fun hanging out with my sister since she has moved back!

Mason LOVES sports. He had so much fun at the game and now wants to wear his jersey and hat every day! Dale couldn't be prouder.

Rylee played soccer for the first time this fall. It is so cute!! (I had better pictures, but I couldn't get them to work.)

Our dearest friends, Jill, Chris, and Caleb Halbasch moved this summer. We will miss them so much being our neighbors. We never could have asked for better friends! Thanks guys we love you, you are the best. We had a going away party with our neighbors. I love my ward and neighborhood.

New York

My friend Ashley invited me to go to New York with her a week and a half before she was going for business. I decided I couldn't miss a chance to stay at the Ritz Carlton for free so I went. We were only there for three days, but we packed as much in as we could. We went and saw Mary Poppins and it was so GooD!! We went to Ground Zero, saw the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, Central Park, 5th Avenue, Times Square, SoHo, Little Italy, China Town, and more. I think we walked at least 10 miles a day! New York was such an amazing place to go. I want to go back. We were fascinated by the big city and the people that live there. We got asked 4 times for directions so we thought we were pretty cool. The funny thing was that we could actually help them. We had fun trying to figure out the subway and being scared to death in the taxis. We had such a great time.

Whew, deep breaths

So beautiful

I can't believe I did it. I went SKYDIVING!! I never, ever wanted to go skydiving. It was my friend, Ashley Larson's, birthday and she wanted to go. Dale and Ashley were going to go (because me and Kelly were way too scared) but instead Dale signed me up because he has already been 5 times. I thought for sure I was going to die. But it was AWESOME!! It totally feels like you are floating or flying. I loved it!! Happy Birthday Ashley, best birthday ever!!

Pimary Blooper

As you may know, my calling at church is in the primary as the chorister. Yesterday I brought confetti poppers (you pull the string and it makes a loud pop and confetti flies out). Well when I pulled it, it really surpirsed one little boy, who must be about 7. He yelled out plain and clear as day HOLY SH**! I was so caught off guard. I just ignored him and moved on. His poor little teacher had to have a good chat with him. I love being in primary and there is never a dull moment. We got a good laugh and thought you might too.

We love summer!

We have been having a really fun summer. My sister, Brittany, bought a boat and we have been lucky enough to go out with them a few times. We got season passes to Lagoon and my kids LOVE it! Mason is a daredevil. He gets so upset when he is too little to ride a ride. Rylee is not quite as daring, but she loves to go with her friends and cousins. She is very social. My kids love anything that has to do with being outside. Dale wakeboarding, what a hottie!

VIVA LAS VEGAS!

We went to Las Vegas last weekend for my Birthday and Father's Day! We had such a good time. We went for the Motion City Soundtrack and Panic! At the Disco concert. It was sooo good. If you haven't heard of Motion City Soundtrack, you should check them out. They are my favorite. All of my music on my playlist is from the concert. While we were there we of course did some serious shopping and Dale's favorite, some serious buffet eating! We left our kids with our wonderful moms and had a fabulous getaway. I 'm wondering if it is too soon to go again.

I think Dale likes to flex. He is a dork, but tha is why I love him. Happy Father's Day honey! You are the best dad and husband. We love you and are grateful for all that you do!

Under Construction

Life has been super crazy the last month. We recarpeted our entire house. We have lived in our house six years in August (I can't even believe it). After two kids and crappy carpet, it was time. It was a lot of hard work but it is so nice now that it is done. We painted our bedroom and all of the floorboards at the same time. It looks so nice and feels like a new house. Dale wants to kill me because I am staying in project mode. We painted our kitchen table and I think that I am going to paint the kitchen, living room, and hallway too. If anyone has cute ideas on decorating my kitchen, please let me know.During the mess
