Babymoon in Washington, DC

Devin and I have always wanted to go to Washington, DC...so we decided to go there for a 5 day babymoon. It was the best vacation ever!! The weather was beautiful and the company was fantastic. Thank you Tennants and Lows for helping out with Jade!

We took bikes and biked everywhere.

Apparently there were a million "no pictures or flash photography" signs, but I missed them :) The flag guard was not very pleased with me. The original flag was pretty cool though ;)

We Love the Zoo!

We decided to get an annual family zoo pass this year because Jade is absolutely CRAZY about animals. We could seriously go the zoo every day and she would never complain.

Jade squeals "ZOO!!" every time we drive past this on the interstate.

Hanging out with the kangaroos. This exhibit is one of my favorites. The kangaroos are free to roam around and cross the path whenever. The only downside is that we can't bring snacks on the path...for obvious reasons ;)

Devin says this is what my bangs look like in the morning. So rude.

Detroit Tigers

A big group of us went to a Detroit Tigers game. It was FANTASTIC!!

We also got to enjoy the fireworks after the game (Jade slept through them...but the rest of us thought they were pretty cool).

Our Last Taste of Summer

I forgot to mention that we stopped in St.George on our way back to Michigan. It was SO much fun to spend time with Shaune, Courtney and the boys!! Can't believe they are going to have a little girl in the Spring :)

We went to two different spray parks while we were there...Jade couldn't get enough (me either...if we're going to be honest here)

Courtney was a doll and watched Jade so we could go tour the strip! We left at 7 pm and got back at 2 am (then woke up at 5 am to catch our flight). No regrets :)

Happy 29th Birthday Devo!

To celebrate the big 2-9 we went to Devin's favorite pizza joint in the world...Buddy's Pizza!

Jade and I hosted a "Paint & Play" playgroup when we first moved back. It was lots of fun to get together with some moms (and it motivated me to unpack our house in 2 1/2 days)

Jade was SUPER excited to move into her big girl bed. She invited all her friends to the bed time party!

Life in the Mitten

You see, Michigan is shaped like a mitten (I can kind of see it when I look at a map). Either way, we're just glad to be back in school and spending time with our friends. Our Calgarian friend Jenny had a little boy Silas in September, so we welcomed him with a little shower.
