Though not a strictly "nature" photo, I found this view of our back yard especially pleasing on this peaceful, rainy June afternoon. Of course the gentle rain showers reminded me of England.
Finally ispired by yet another amazing sunset, I got the camera out and headed for Vegas Street once again. The reward for my effort was this beautiful, peaceful view. Love it.
Ah, Spring in Grantsville! The two-day snowstorm we just received was an amazing April fool's joke. Longest steady snowfall in years. What's not to love?
These trees covered with frozen fog offered a scene that was repeated all over town on this first day of Winter. We didn't have much snow as yet, but Winter had certainly arrived. Love the fog.
On a drive around town in search of frosty scenes, I was captivated by this wintery view down Cooley Street. Most of the white on the ground is not snow, but frozen fog that has fallen from the trees. Beautiful!
Another shot from my day-long hike in the mountains. Standing here in the silence, I was able to smell, feel and touch the wonder that is nature. Before continuing my hike, I stood for several minutes, enthralled by the beauty of the colors and the feel of the cool, damp air. Thrilling.
It is a complete delight to live so near the Deseret Peak Wilderness Area of the Wasatch National Forest. The deep, thick stands of pines, firs and quaking aspen offer the perfect relief from a busy, troubled world.

I have always been thrilled and delighted by the glories of nature and the wonders of God's creation. From time to time I will post here images that have given me joy. My hope is that those who view them will be likewise inspired by and grateful for the incredible beauty our Father in Heaven has given us for our simplest days.
