  • Meet my sweet queen cat, Ariel 💙 She came to live with me a year ago after being rescued from a breeding situation. At just three years old, she already had three litters of kittens 💔

This experience had shaped who she is now. Ariel feels fundamentally different from the world around her and longs for a place where she is at peace and can truly be herself. A feeling many neurodivergent will recognize.

She is incredibly sweet, obsessed with food, and absolutely loves to sleep and cuddle.

Jodi Benson – Part of your world
  • She dares to look into the darkness and, blindfolded, sees more than open eyes ever could, without judgement. An inner perception that reflects itself in the world around her. Her discernment is razor-sharp. The scales before her weigh equality, not content.

    Crossroads

    Chaos whispers
    Moonlight guides
    The heart determines
    Where truth resides

While creating this particular drawing, I found myself at a crossroads in my life. I face a choice: follow the paved path of performance-driven work and structured learning, or surrender to the artistic path, undefined, unpredictable, and full of adventure.

The pillar in this drawing is adorned with symbols, each carrying its own message:

    Crossroads:
At the top, you’ll see the crossroads in life where someone must make an important choice or decision. It represents a dilemma, a moment of change, and a choice of a new direction. It can also represent the meeting place of people, ideas, or life paths.

    Eye:
The eye holds many meanings: protection (like the Nazar amulet that wards off negative energies), clairvoyance, spiritual insight, and the ability to see beyond and experience energies to perceive hidden truths. This energy flows between the branches of the tree in the image.

    The moon:
Transformation and renewal. It also embodies feminine power, intuition, and the cycles of life. It evokes mystery, magic, and inner growth and invites a deeper connection with nature.

    Pentagram:
Encircled, the pentagram links five elements: earth, water, air, fire, and spirit. Here, it represents a quest for balance.

    The Sun:
Radiates self-confidence, ambition, and life’s deeper purpose. It offers comfort, clarity and signals a new direction.

    Scythe:
Represents cutting ties, releasing the past, and letting go of what no longer serves. I am currently working with techniques like breaking soul contracts to support this process.

    Waves:
Reflect creativity and confusion! Chaos at the threshold of a new reality. The key is to flow with life rather than resist it. With intuition, you can even bend the current to your will.

    Upward arrow:
A symbol of positive development, growth and progress.

I usually create my drawings intuitively. Often, I have no idea and simply start with the first line. As the drawing unfolds, it always becomes something more than ordinary, rich, with symbolism and layered meaning. Each piece holds personal significance for me, yet remains open for interpretation. Anyone else who looks at it can also find meaning in it, which arises from the eye of the beholder.

Ever since childhood, I’ve felt a deep connection to nature. Even the smallest blade of grass strikes me as a miracle. I’m drawn to stormy weather, the wildness of wind and rain, and the quiet magic of night. I love all seasons, but especially the Indian summer. I love the sun, the moon and the stars.

Angel numbers and symbolic signs cross my path daily. I carry deep empathy for the suffering of people, animals and the Earth itself. Also, I am a Reiki practitioner.

My love for animals wasn’t taught, it blossomed over time. I’m an insect whisperer, attuned to the tiniest lives around me. For thirteen years I had a black cat by my side, a loyal friend, guide and protector. I carry his spirit gently in my heart.

I read people from afar, my intuition rarely fails me. I once painted auras and offered readings alongside them. I’m drawn to the magical scents of palo santo, incense and white sage. My favorite drink is tea of all kinds. It nourishes me, grounds me and warms my soul. Most of all, I love drinking tea outside at night, bathing in the full moon and enjoying the dark gentle contours of nature.

I cleanse my energy and my home through prayer, medititation ans spells. You’ll find crystals all over the place.

These rituals are my way of staying aligned, of honoring the sacred divine in everyday life.

    I am a moon woman.

If any of this resonates with you, perhaps you are one too. Welcome here …

  • She had blue skin,
    And so did he.
    He kept it hid
    And so did she.
    They searched for blue
    Their whole life through
    Then passed right by
    And never knew.

~Shel Silverstein, Every Thing on It

I think this is a beautiful poem. I stumbled upon it online years ago and it perfectly captured a time in my life when I was searching for love. Back then, I was looking for love primarily outside myself, for someone who would complete me. I sought it in a partner. But I never found him.

In hindsight, his absence turned out to be a gift. The time I spent without a partner became a space for deep personal growth, spirituality and healing. These themes became true passions.

I came to understand that love has many more facets than just romantic partnership, or what is often called in spiritual circles, a soulmate, or even a twin flame. These terms suggest that we need anohter half to be whole.

But I’ve learned that it all comes down to what you are willing to believe. If you believe you can’t be whole without a partner to complete you, then you won’t feel complete.

Love is encompassing and multifaceted, as diverse as the people who experience it.

    Orbs
Personally, I really love the little orbs in the drawing. Orbs symbolize eternity, angels, or spirits of deceased love onces.

  • It took me a while to return to designing and drawing after publising my e-book “Breathe with me”. I needed time to process a personal loss. Many creatives will recognize this feeling: the love and energy poured into a creation and the painful silence that sometimes follows. Sadly, orders for the e-book never came, not even from family of friends. In truth, only one friend offered support, and I’m deeply grateful for that. The book is still available, now only in physical form, and can be ordered through my website. I occasionally gift the book.

Recently, I’ve started drawing again and rediscorverd my love for drawing with pen and ink. I work most intuitively, I rarely know what will emerge. It often feels like I’m just winging it, but somehow, beautiful symbolic creations come to life. Some of my recent pieces artn’t online yet, because they’ve already been selected by an artist for cover art.

Purple Silence is also available for other cover projects or illustrations. If you’re interested, feel free to reach out via DM or e-mail.

  • — Obscured Truth

For this artwork, I used a public domain image of Maude Adams (1901) and incorporated symbolic elements: bubbles, the moon, a rose, lace, and various shades of white.

    Image

    The Healer
The woman in the image symbolizes breaking of manipulative and destructive patterns passed down by ancestors from other eras. The bubbles drifting before her eyes partially obscure her vision, making it harder to pierce the illusion. Breaking free from these patterns demand a perception that reaches beyond ordinary consciousness.

    Moonlight
She is encircled by a lunar halo. This moonlight is caused by ice crystals, bending and reflecting light, mirrors an icy, self-imposed force that grips her and pushes her off the familiar path. The halo’s white glow unveils the hidden truth , along with the buried pain of long suppressed emotions.

    Rose
The rose stands for the concealment of truth. It may offer temporary comfort in difficult moments, but ultimately severs the connection to the self when the illusion is embraced as reality. The rose also symbolizes love, which, when truly known, can soften everything. But love, misunderstood or estranged, can wound deeply, like thorns.

    White
The entire scene is wrapped in soft shades of white and lace, reflecting the woman’s journey toward healing and her bond with divine purity and righteousness. She embodies the meticulous, selfless devotion required for spiritual growth and a connection with the sacred self. Not to change the world around her, but to return to her authentic essence.

    Awakening
You have arrived at this message. Perhaps you recognize its meaning and are yourself a woman walking the path of healing. That is a courageous step, one that deserves profound respect.

    Connect
Should these words stir something within you, know that you are welcome to connect. Share your story, your longing, or your path toward healing. I invite you to share your story of question with me. You are not alone.
