What it does 🤖📞

Accountabud is a personalized, human-like AI voice assistant designed to help you maintain focus and productivity by interacting with you as a supportive buddy. 🤝 It engages you by discussing your goals 🎯, potential distractions, and motivational factors. Utilizing insights gathered through these conversations, Accountabud actively supports you in staying focused. 🔍 Our Chrome extension monitors your online activities; if it detects distractions, Accountabud proactively reaches out with a friendly call to steer you back on track. 📱 It also provides timely motivational calls to encourage tasks such as gym visits 💪 or project work 🛠️. Understanding that procrastination is human nature, if Accountabud notices repeated call hang-ups 📵, it escalates the support by contacting your closest friend to check in on you personally. 👫 Additionally, it tracks your academic progress 📚, further personalizing its approach to help you achieve success. 🎉

How we built it 🛠️

We built Accountabud using NextJS and FastAPI for our full-stack solution, JavaScript for the browser extensions 🌐, and Gemini for our interactive, agent-based voice calls. 🎙️ Gemini also powers the conversational analysis 🗣️ to better understand and support user needs. For frontend actions and agent simulations, we leveraged CloudFlare and Groq technologies.

Challenges we ran into ⚠️

We encountered several challenges while experimenting with various sponsor-provided tools. These challenges required us to pivot multiple times 🔄 before achieving our final implementation strategy.

Accomplishments that we're proud of 🏆

We successfully developed a fully functional conversational AI voice agent that intuitively understands and responds to users' needs. Throughout the development process, we gained valuable experience, such as configuring cron jobs ⏰ for scheduling timely calls and mastering FastAPI. Each team member acquired new skills 💡, and we're proud of our collective growth and achievements.
